Simon gave a seminar about faces that was worth the trip alone. Great other seminars and a chance to sit and visit up at the shop.
Mother nature has bee good to us all week for the most part, except yesterday we had some winds and snow. It's winter we have to expect that, and the city, motels and grounds volunteers have been doing a great job keeping everything cleaned up.
Today Wayne will be doing the Ice Sculpting with the carvers that want to try it, right in the carving arena, this year instead of down town. That should get a bunch of more carvers.
There is a group of carvers working across form us that are working day and night (under the lights) to produce some magnificent pieces of art and also give the crowds that come later in the day a show. Way to go guys (Jeff, Ken,Ken P.,John ....I'm missing some sorry)
By yesterday at 3:00 they had 150 registered carvers on the grounds with a few just arriving and not registered. So regardless of the weather the magic is contagious and carvers are making the trip.
