Ratings, week 2

Over at NBC, Week 2 of American Dreams averaged an overall second-place 8.5/12 from 8-9 p.m. -- 102 percent above a repeat of the American Dreams pilot at 7 p.m. (#4: 4.2/6) with 85 percent retention from last Sunday's debut (10.0/14 on Sept. 29). American Dreams ranked first in the 8:30 p.m. half-hour with growth of 15 percent from Dateline in the year-ago 8 p.m. time period (7.4/10 on Oct. 7, 2001). So the nostalgic drama is a winner for the second week in a row.
