Tonight was the best episode yet I thought. All the issues of a changing society circa 1963- the roll of women, the race issue, first dates, class differences, a nation at the brink of war. This show is set almost forty years ago but a lot of themes resonate for me today.
The episode had it all and American Dreams is for me the only new show this season I am even bothering with and staying with. It's getting better too with each week and each character is being given a compelling story. All that and the music is wonderful too.

This show is a winner for me.

I loved tonight's episode too! Did Meg hit Jimmy with a popcorn box or did I miss something? Could carboard to that much damage?!

I really liked last night's episode too! And...wow...next week's show looks awesome too! Aren't Jimmy and Meg the cutest thing together? It looks he doesn't stay mad at her or anything for accidentally giving him a bloody nose. And...I'm not quite sure how a tub of popcorn or even an elbow can do all that damage. Poor guy!

I think Meg & Jimmy are adorable together. I wonder if Jesse Hutch who plays Jimmy will become a regular.

I thought that Jimmy was hit by Meg's knee as he bent down to pick up her gum and she jumped when the movie got scary. Just a thought.

I really enjoyed the episode as well. I love the way the characters are being developed. The scene with the two fathers, one black and one white, telling their kids the same things, was incredible.
