hi everyone- in the new issue of Entertainment Weekly (Best of 2002 with Denzel Washington on the cover) Brittany Snow is profiled amongst the Breakout Stars of the year. It's a nice little writeup.

Also, in next week's TV Guide dated 12/21-27, in the article about the Best of the Year in TV, AD is chosen as Best New Family Drama.

If anyone wants, I can type out both profiles.

It is nice to see the show and the actors getting recognized for their work. It's a wonderful show getting some just press.

Here's the Entertainment Weekly write up. I'd already typed it up for another board I belong to- so I just copied/pasted it. LOL

Age: 16

Moment of Arrival: Seducing viewers into a kinder, gentler frenzy as Catholic schoolgirl and Bandstand regular Meg Pryor on NBC's nostalgic drama American Dreams (This Brittany can do the mashed potato but will never bare her midriff).

How she Got the Part: After three auditions, the Tampa native read for a room of "really, really scary exeutives in suits" who shocked her by hiring her on the spot. "that never happens," says Snow, "so of course, I was crying like a baby"

First Job: The budding actress had "the worst job even though it was the best job" - a role on Guiding Light. "I commuted back and forth to New York every week, which was crazy... but I got to know the [flight attendants] so well. I could walk on the plane and be like, 'Hey Bob!'"

What fame has Brought: Friendship with American idols. The self-proclaimed Backstreet Boys "groupie" met Nick Carter when he guested on Dreams. "He was so cool. We talk all the time, and we're really kinda, you know... we're friends"

What's Next: Wrapping this season of Dreams and looking at movie scripts, hoping for a reese Witherspoon biopic. "I'm a huge fan"
