From rose0235: American Dreams seems to be pushing for Meg and Sam to get together. Any news on that?

I've heard that the producers are very much interested in doing so, but they're concerned about making sure it's true to the times. My money would be on some sort of more intimate storyline next season.

As much I would like to see that.. it just doesnt seem like a black and white person could have an intimate relationship in that time

I wonder if they will leave off from the riots. Not to mention the costs of putting the store back together. But I keep on questioning if Meg and Sam will be a couple or remain good friends. I am dying to see the next season premiere. Does anyone know when it might premiere or hear any news on the second season of American Dreams?

It seems the TV season starts later and later every year. Probably late September or early October.

At least not for another 5 or 6 seasons. Why not let them remain very close friends for the time being for there are a lot of upcoming racial confrontations and issues during the civil rights struggles through this length of time listed above that have to be dealt with or settled for Sam and Meg to maintain their friendship, let alone pursuing an interacially relationship. Not to mention there are racial elements surrounding both the Pryors and the Walkers that must be quelled. Now at least this portion of this subject I would like to see the writers and producers include more of in this series!
