Pete, Jack's brother, was trying to save Nathan by pretending to arrest him. He got him from behind like he was going to hurt him and then told him that he was going to get him out of there. Nathan's friend saw this happening and thought that Pete was going to do something to Nathan so he started towards Pete and one of the other police officers shot him. Sam, Nathan and the others ran to his side while Meg stood there in shock. Pete took Meg away so she wouldn't get hurt and she watched from the back window of the police car as they pulled away. She and Sam staring at each other while Sam is helping with the shot guy. That's where it ends.
Meanwhile JJ's out looking for Meg and runs by the new Pryor's TV store and it's up in flames. Then Jack and Henrey come by and they're all standing there looking at it.
Meg was planning her party. She got as far as setting up the decorations and making party favors. She made little eatable records from licorice. Since Sam couldn't come to the party, she took him a licorice record at the Pryor TV store in his neighborhood where he was at. That's when the riots broke out. No, Meg didn't have her party.
