| 'AMERICAN DREAMS' AND 'CRIMINAL INTENT' ARE SUNDAY WINNERS IN 18-49

‘AMERICAN DREAMS’ WINS AN HOUR THAT INCLUDES SUCH COMPETITION AS ‘60 MINUTES,’ ‘COLD CASE,’ ‘10-8,’ ‘CHARMED’ AND REBROADCASTS OF ‘THE SIMPSONS’ AND ‘KING OF THE HILL’
BURBANK, Calif. -- October 27, 2003 -- NBC has generated another round of strong ratings results from its great Sunday dramas, as “American Dreams” won its hour among adults 18-49 with its strongest rating since premiere week and “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” dominated its time period with the show’s highest regular-slot 18-49 result since April 6.
According to preliminary “fast affiliate-based” in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research, “Dateline NBC” (2.6 rating, 7 share among adults 18-49, 10.1 million viewers overall) opened the night at 7 p.m. ET with its highest 18-49 rating since premiere week and its biggest overall viewer total since Jan. 12. “Dateline” soared 63 percent above its 1.6/5 of the previous Sunday in 18-49.
From 8-9 p.m. ET, the critically praised “American Dreams” (3.6/9 in 18-49, 10.1 million viewers overall) was #1 in 18-49 in an hour that included competition from CBS’ “60 Minutes” and “Cold Case,” ABC’s “10-8,” WB’s “Charmed” and Fox rebroadcasts of “The Simpsons” and “King of the Hill.” This is “Dreams’” highest 18-49 rating since Sept. 28. Last night’s “American Dreams” telecast featured a guest appearance by Kelly Rowland of Destiny's Child as Martha Reeves
sounds like some good news... from what i've been hearing the demos are really important... i figured i'd check the ratings releases and this was the first one!!!... yes... spread the word to everyone to keep the ratings up about this great show!!!!!!!!

Thanks for posting it! I checked nbcmv earlier to see if they had put out a release and didn't see one.
Yes, that's great. The 18 - 49 demo is what the networks consider most important.
