Jack and Pete attended a trade show. Pete pitched his idea for a security system (and flirted with women). Later Jack had to break some disappointing news to him that a new Japanese company called Sony beat him to it.
Nathan told Henry about a friend who opened up a barber shop using Muslim money. Henry's having ideas of branching out on his own and opening up his own TV shop.
The blonde girl who frequents the record store; who Luke's been interested in; well she and Luke finally went out. After the date, he returned to the store where Roxanne was working. He informed her that the date didn't go so well. Then, without hesitation, he walked up to Roxanne and pulled her into a kiss!
JJ and some of the other guys were invited to have dinner at a Vietnamese family's home. JJ met a little girl and gave her his red baseball cap. Later, the family's home was bombed and distroyed. JJ wanted to stay and help clean up, but they had to move on.
Beth and Helen attended a comedy club where a crude comic was performing (played by Richard Vos of last summer's NBC show, "Last Comic Standing"). When Helen walked in, the comic put her on the spot, literally. The light was shining on her and the comic started harassing her with embarrassing questions about her sex life, which of course made her very uncomfortable. He then turned the attention toward Beth. But later, Helen and Beth were seen at home laughing about it.
Patty and Will put together a tape of messages to send to JJ from his family and Beth. He was seen listening to it and smiling at the end.
Patty found out that her mom was pregnant with JJ before her parents were married. No one knew that she knew. She told Meg and Meg took it as an opportunity to rebel. She went over to Drew's dorm and they attended a party with drinking. Things got wild and she and Drew were dancing on the diving board of the pool. Someone pushed them into the water so Meg had to put on some of Drew's dry clothes back in his dorm. She tried to sneak into her house and quitely put her wet clothes into the dryer without anyone hearing. But Helen flipped on the light and started in on her. Meg blabbed out that she knows the truth about her mom being pregnant before marriage and called her a hypocrite. Jack grounded Meg and she's no longer allowed to see Luke.
