No...JJ will not come home in the season finale. His troop will be surrounded by VietCong with no backup to come in. The title of the episode is "No Way Out". Jack is going to run for city council. But Beth's decision will have an impact on that (I believe she goes to live with the Pryors because her parents disown her).

also: Helen makes a shocking discovery at work. Meg and Sam get caught in the crossfire at anti-war rally and find themselves taking a stand they may have severe consequences in their future, Jack takes a stand on Beth and her marital status as he begins his campaign for city councilman.
