Can anyone help with a song heard on AD?

June 6 2005 at 3:01 AM

Does anyone know the title and artist of the song played in the episode 'Leaders of the Pack', Season 3 of American Dreams?
It was played in the background of the scene where Roxanne and Meg are at Bandstand infront of the make up mirrors talking about how Roxanne's mother is remarrying and moving with her new fiance.
The next scene straight after that is Dick Clark introducing the group The Who.
I've checked the music guides of a few sites but it seemed to have gone unnoticed. The artist is female and it sounds like a great song.
Can anyone help?

LOL, I know its kinda random but American Dreams Season 3 has only just aired over here in New Zealand and that was the lastest episode I saw, when I heard the intro to that song I thought it was 'Where Did Our Love Go?' by the Supremes, it had a similar beat as if it were from the Motown label. I'm really into the older music.

The artist was definately female, if anyone can help, these are the only lyrics I was able to catch clearly since Roxanne and Meg were talking over it.

Lyrics:

Honey, Honey, Don't turn your back on me
We'll be good for each other
???,...do all this to me.
???,...you want to be free, we are better together...

Hope You Can Help!!

Hi, i know this is a long shot, seeing as how this post was months and months ago, but i'm desperate! LoL
i too am a AD fanatic, who is heartbroken that they cancelled such an amazing, quality show..but here's the thing..i just got out of the marine corps a few months ago, and while in, rarely got to watch tv on a regular basis, so i never really got into the show until just a few months ago when i was able to buy the first season on dvd..now i'm HOOKED!

anyway, i read in your post that you taped this show....Sooo, i was hoping (praying and crossing my fingers!! LoL) that you may've taped ALL the shows? I'm just DYING to see what happens after season one, and of course they aren't releasing anymore seasons right now, and who knows when...

i was just wondering if you had a collection that you taped yourself??

Does anyone know if the Beatles song "You've Got To Hide Your Love Away" was performed by Ben Taylor in the Lair, or just played at all in the show in general? I was listening to it and it sounds wicked familiar. Thank you!

Hey Robyn, yes Ben Taylor did a cover of "You've Got To Hide Your Love Away" in the first episode of Season 3 titled - Long Shots & Short Skirts.

Leader of the pack

I believe the Shangri la's sang that song, was it the episode with Hillary duff and her sister haylie duff. They played the shangri la's in one of the episodes.

http://www.byjoy.com/LeaderOfThePack.html

Here's cheezy link that plays the music and has the words in text, sounds more like ringtone music for your phone though.

Go to yahoo or google and search the song name leader of the pack or do a search on the shangri la's.

Hope this helps!!!
