How could the networks cancel "American Dreams"? Say it isn't true!!! So...what else is new in TV????? They always cancel the good stuff...the meaningful stuff...the stuff that makes us feel toasty and warm all over. My husband and I NEVER missed an episode. This was THE show for Baby Boomers and with such an array of characters, one could certainly identify with at least one of the players. "American Dreams," made me feel like a kid again, watching TV on a Sunday night with my Mom and Dad and brother. We would put on our pj's, order pizza and watch....Lassie, Ed Sullivan, Bonanza, etc. Times were complicated but television programs entertained us and were simple by nature. What the heck do we have to look forward to now? More reality shows?????? We want more meaningful programming!!!! Baby Boomers unite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's time to fight for what we believe in....... O.K......get out of those conservative business outfits......put on the bell bottoms, gauze tops and head bands......and start protesting.....ha ha ha......right....I know.... times have REALLY changed......really.....

I completely agree with you. Although I am not a baby boomer...AD was my favorite show and I am very disappointed that it was canceled. Why are all the good shows always canceled...oh yeah, I know, to make more room for those fake reality shows...

If you liked American Dreams, you may like Reunion. Will Estes (JJ Pryor) is one of the stars. Each episode is one year, starting in 1986. It's pretty good. (Fox, Thursday nights, after the OC)
