York were given a bit of a slap on saturday . Very poor show on their part as they were at home first game of the season . Bottled it before the game when confronted . Tried to get at us with twenty after the game , we slipped the old bill . So did three of their lads they were done ,a few punches were thrown and York ran as fast as their legs would carry them into a pub and didnt come out . The Mainfirm take the day yet again . First victory of the season on and off the field .

Would be very interested to hear York's side of the day,if what you say happened then I'm very surprised as York can turn out a good bunch of lads & be honest mate the CMF haven't been very active since dropping into the Conf!!!!!!! I was sure when you came down that you'd be a major force in this league, perhaps this will be your year OFF the field r&r SCC

cambridge had 20ish, shit turnout from us for some reason.
just way it goes, dropping from over 90 for scabby/halifax oxford, to hardly anyone at weekend.

york ob are getting worse now aswell.

good to see mainfirm do still actually exist though. abou time you turned up for someone.

15 Cambridge happy to tell anyone who'd listen beforehand that they were just their for a piss up.

Afterwards this same group do 4 York on their own. And yes they were on their own, because the rest of us i.e. what little we had out, were elsewhere drinking when we heard about it.

Still, this is what this business has become these days, incidents being changed beyond recognition on the net.

Only six CMF out on the day the rest were plops so you may have talked to them . Your four attacked us and got slapped , fair play to them for A escaping the old bill and B having a go . We took about 20 to York a few years ago didnt see much then either although we were forced to anihilate a group of idiots in a pub who may or may not have been York . As to it being blown out of proportion this latest incident was not a major thing but these days big firms rarely get to grips because of the old bill . We can only batter the opposition who confront us , after all we were there , York knew we were there and it was up to them to get to us . Hope your sore heads are better now ,cheerio till next time .

Cambridge, small numbers but game- what it's all about. Just make sure you batter the SMHS- the spent force that is Oxford United. Regards.

Dont put a kiss after your post you fucking queer cunt. I can assure you that no Swindon lads would ever decline a damce with any SMHS lad. The difficult part is catching you. As for the game at Forest Green- quality wise you are a joke. So.... when is Histon away????

The thing is cunty Oxford go on about running Swindon for the past thirty years etc- pure fucking fantasy my inbred friend. Games at Swindon:

October 2000- You brough an embarrasing folowing of 900- how many scared rabbits were there hiding behing ob?

September 1998- Your scruffy mob seemed content to shout and spit behind ob, again making no effort to challenge Swindon.

Agust 1995- Again the SHMS have numbers (there useless with even numbers) and are well and truely smahed by the stratton bank, trying to climb fence to escape.

Banbury 2002- We wont embarras you with details.

Right FA Cup at yours- you supposedly had 300-500 (your estimation). Well I can safely say again apart from throwing mud at the buses you again did fuck all.

Dont bleat on about 1960-70's, as no one really can verify truefully. You know as well as the next Oxford cunt that SMHS is finished. Is it warm in our shadow??

Oh and where has your site gone???? Oh...silly me you have to have lads to have a site.

As another ex Norwich just surfing and wondering how old Cambridge are doing, and saw this thread. I remember oxford away was a right old battle. New Years Day '72 we had 400 (as quoted in the Papers so not me exagerating) in your end as soon as the gates opened. When Oxford arrived and gathered numbers they spent the next two hours trying to move us. Game as fuck and got right into us in the second half. Running battles after on way back to coaches and trains with major battle on station. The sort of day we'll never see again but respect on both sides. The younger guys and the youth of today have no idea what went on in those days.

Some game Swindon lads did come in the Barclay near the end of that season but didn't last too long. Always presumed the older lads of Swindon and Oxford must have had some great days back then. Today its all tied up by the OB. When we play the blue scum you've never seen so many OB, vans, dogs, helecopter etc so FA happens. Last year we had at least 150-200 out in three pubs after the game but what for really other than a few beers and a laugh.

Remember Camb away in a friendly we won 3-0 in early 70's as well. Right old battle. The guy leading the city boys that day died a year ago sadly. Remember him standing in your end with blood all over his face but still having a go.

well put.always enjoyed trips to norwich, 1986 away foggy as fuck great tear up in city centre, norwich came round before game to away stand ,solid lads ,chased few after, the main worry for us was a rumour had got shouted through the cordon that a lad had been stabbed to death night before and someone said oxford had done it ,we knew we could be in trouble if norwich believed it ,nothing came off it.plus a local was nicked for it ,
this will make you norwich lads happy ,when you lost 5 nil at ipswich my mrs was at uni there ,and we got fronted up by few of there lads ,i dropped there lad but got nicked .copper let me go,he had norwich city badge on under lapel ,glad them days have gone ,the youth should give it up

Shame

To whoever replied to my "disagree" post above:

Shame its not possible for us guys who used to be involved in real FV to have a conversation on the web without the young wankers of today who think they know it all coming in and starting the childish banter. Also shame they cannot even spell.

Still, fortunately some of us still meet up and its good to remember what really went on as opposed to the pathetic posturing and bravado by the modern day teenage cyber warriors.

Anyway, cheers pal.

PS One or two of us have talked about coming to watch a game at the Abbey and have a few beers.

Now await the pathetic abuse......
