Love Finds A Way Home:
It was snowing like mad out and Jason and Courtney were on their way to tell Sonny about their relastionship. But it was her idea to do it.
The roads were a bit icy but nothing Jason could not handle. Then out of nowhere a deer runs across in front of the SUV. Jason swerved to miss it but it was too late. They hit a tree. Jason hit his head on the steering wheel and hit his chest. Courtney well she hit her head on the dash board.
"Courtney wake up. Are you alright?" Jason asked as he tried to lean over to touch her.
Jason was having a hard time breathing. He new he did more damnage then what was visable. He finally got enough strength to pull Coutney back in her seat. What he saw scared him to death. There was blood coming out of her nose and forhead.
"Courtney listen to me, you need to open your eyes please. I need to know that you are ok." he said getting more worried because she was not talking back or moving.
It had been several minutes and Jason could not get her to wake up. He reached over to her to feel for a pulse. But he got nothing.
Soon there as a know on the door to the SUV and Jason was telling the person they needed help that Courtney had no pulse and that he was hurt too.
"Sir you need to calm down so I can help her. You need to put something on your head. You have a cut." the man said as he tried to find a pulse on Courtney. But was unable to get one.
As the EMT's got there, and were moving Courtney into the Ambulance Jason new they were not having any luck with her.
Just then his cell started ringing. "Morgan. Johnny, I need to you find Sonny and tell him to meet me at GH. Courtney and I were in an accident and it is not looking good." he said and coughed up some blood.
"Sir you need to come with us. You may have internal problems. With the sign of blood when you coughed it could mean that you have punchured your lung." he said as he helped Jason into the back of the ambulance.
After Johnny had called Sonny, he made one more call to someone he new would want to be there. And if it did not turn out that the person was coming at least he gave it a try. He new these two people belonged together more then Jason new. Courtney was just something to tide Jason over till he figured that he need the one thing that would make him really happy.
15 Minutes later at GH.
Courtney was wheeled into a room off to the side with Nurse and Doctors flying in behind her.
Jason came in on a stretcher. Monica saw Jason and ran to him.
"Jason. Oh my god what happened? Are you hurt?" she was asking as a doctor and a mother.
"Yes. My chest and my head hurt." he said as he closed his eyes and was being wheeled into a exam room just as he passed out.
Just them Carly and Sonny came running in with Johnny and Francis hot on their heels.
"Where is he. Where is Jason?" Carly started yelling at the nurse.
"You need to calm down. He just got in here with Mrs. Quartermain." one of the nuses said.
Johnny was keeping watch for anything unusal and he saw the one person he new could make Jason feel better.
"Liz you came? I didn't think you would with everything going on." Johnny said as he watched Liz look around the room.
"Where is he Johnny? Is he ok? What happened?" Liz was asking questions that she was not sure she wanted to know about.
"He is in one of the exam rooms. But we don't know anything yet." Johnny said while giving her a small smile.
Carly notice Johnny talking to Elizabeth. "What are you doing here. You are not wanted here. Remember you are the one that walked out on him and I am sure he wont want to see you." She said being the bitch she always is to her.
"Look Mrs Corinthos. I called her to tell her about Jason. She has a right to know. Jason and her are or were friends for a long time." Johnny said. Mumbling under his breath(they still would be if that dumb blonde never showed up).
"Look Johnny, if this is going to be a problem maybe I should go. I didn't think Carly ruled Jason or anyone else's life. But I guess I was wrong." she said as she walked away from the group.
"Elizabeth. You have every right to be here as much as we do. Please excuse my wife." Sonny said smiling with the famouse dimples.
"Thank you Sonny, that means alot. Even after everything that has happened. I am sure you dont like me anymore after I walked out on him, but I still care about him. I just dont like being lied to and strung around and made to have thoughts running through my head at the possible thing that may have happened when he never called or came home." Liz said with tears in her eyes as she remembered walking out on Jason.
She saw Dr. Monica Quartermain coming into the waiting area. “Monica how is he? Is he alright?” she asked not sure she was ready to hear it.
“Elizabeth, he is fine. He made it through with flying colours. He is in his own room if you want to go see him.” she said know how close they once were.
Just then Alan came out looking like he lost his best friend. “Alan what is wrong? Did something happen?” Monica asked worried by the look on her husbands face.
“Carly, Sonny I am sorry to be the barrier of bad news. But I was not able to keep Courtney alive. She didn’t even make here alive. I did try everything in my power to bring her back but I was to late. I am so sorry for your Lose.” he said as he looked to his wife for support.
Liz left the waiting room and went to find out what room Jason was in. She need to make sure that he was ok before she went home.
“Excuse me can you tell me what room Jason Morgan is in?” she asked the nurse at the desk.
“Yup he is in room 314 Floor 3.” she said smiling at Liz.
“Thank you.” was all she said as she rushed to the elevator.
As she got off and walked to the room she was more scared at what she was going to say to him. She was never like this with him. She could always tell him anything but that all change the night she walked away from him.
She walked up to the room and went in. Jason was laying there with his hands at his sides and a small bandage on his forehead. He had a IV bag hooked to his left arm and a oxygen mask. He looked so pail.
Liz took the seat next to the bed and took Jason’s hand in hers. She started to tell him everything that she was feeling.
“Jason I am not sure where to start. I know I have so much to apoligise for. I know I was never fare to you in not giving you a chance to explain your side of the story. I should have and that was wrong. I never should have walked out on you and I will never forgive myself for and for not giving us the chance to fix it.” she said as tears came to her eyes.
“I have told you over and over again I don’t want your sorry. I know how you feel about it because that is how I feel too. I didn’t give us the chance I promised you I would.” he said is a hushed scratchy voice.
“I thought. I thought you were sleeping? I will leave so you can.” she said as she got up to leave.
Jason grabbed her hand. “Please don’t go I wanna talk to you about what happened. And where things went wrong.” he said as he looked at their joined hands.
“But Jason, you need your rest. You just got out of surgery.” she said as she also looked at their hands and smiled.
“I feel ok to talk. Please stay and talk to me. That is all I ask.” he said looking into her baby blues.
“Fine I will stay as long as you want.” she smiled at him.
“First thing is, I need to ask you something.” he looked at her.
“Sure what do you want to know?” she said looking at their hands again.
“Did she make it? I need to know if she made or not.” Jason asked the hardest question Liz was going to have to answer.
“I am sorry Jason. She didn’t make. Alan tried and he just couldn’t get her to come back. I know you two were close, and I would never wish this on my worst enemy.” she said while giving his hand a good squeeze.
“I already had a feeling that she wouldn’t make. She had no pulse when we were trapped in the SUV.” he said looking away.
Suddenly there was a knock on the door and Sonny entered. “Jason I need to talk to you in private. Liz do you mind leaving the room?”
“Sure I will be outside when you are done.” she told them and gave Jason’s hand a quick squeeze.
Sonny sat in the chair that Liz vacated. “Jason I am sure Liz told you about Courtney. And I wanted to tell you that I want you to leave town the minute you are realised from here. You will leave and never come back. You took my sister from me and now I want you away from here so you wont cause more problems.”
“You have to be kidding me. You want me to leave town just because you say so. I know you are mad and hurting you have every right to be. But it was not my fault that this happened. If she was wearing a seat belt or if the deer never ran out. Look all I am saying is.....” he was cut off by Sonny.
“YOU WILL LEAVE TOWN when you get out of here. You will never come back here. I want you away from my family. You have cause enough pain.” he told Jason in a louder voice.
“Fine if that is the way you want it. I guess I know where we stand now. I just figured you of all people would never turn your back on me.” Jason said as he stared Sonny down.
Sonny got up from the chair and walked out the door. Liz came in after he left and saw Jason was upset.
“Jase are you ok? If you want me to go I will.” she said not really sure what to do right now.
“No not unless you are turning your back on me again.” he said looking at the roof.
“What are you talking about? Did something happen with you and Sonny?” she asked running her hand through her hair.
“Yeah it has to do with Sonny. He wants me gone. He told me to leave town and to never come back.” he said pinching his nose.
“You have to be kidding right? Sonny would never do something like that. You are his family.” she said getting worried that he really was going to be leaving again.
He looked at her and saw how upset and scared she was. “I know you think Sonny is a great guy, but when it comes to family you mess with it you are toast. So to him I did. I took his sister and now he wants me gone.”
“But you can’t leave again. I will miss you to much. And you promised you would never leave me again.” she said wiping the tears.
“I am sorry but what do I have holding me here anymore. I lost you, I lost Sonny, Carly, Micheal everything.” he told her as he felt the tears himself.
“I still want you hear Jason. Please you can’t leave me. I will never see or hear from you again. I will have to get Em to tell all about where you are and make sure you are still ok.” she said with a fake smile.
“Trust me if there was any way around it I would take it. So you would miss me? I thought you never wanted to see me or have anything to do with me again?” he said in a teasing voice.
“I will always want you around. I have missed our talks and our rides.” she said again smiling at him.
“Good to hear, that someone will miss me.” he smiled at her.
“Well I should go. I have to get back to work. Johnny called my cell and told me you were here and I had to come to make sure you were ok. And that I see that you are I can go back to work.” she said as she grabbed her purse of the floor.
“Can I come see you before I leave. I have to give you something. That I am sure you will know what to do with.” he told her while pulling the small mask out of his nose.
“I would like that very much if you would come and see me before you leave.” she told him as she walked out the door.
Three Weeks Later:
Liz was cleaning her paint brushes and paint cans when there was a loud knock on the door.
“Who is it?” she asked.
“It’s Jason. Can I come in?” he asked know it was going to be hard to say good-bye.
Liz walked over to the door and opened it. “Hey, come on in.”
“Thanks.” he said as he walking in and closed the door behind himself.
Jason took a quick look around remembering when he stayed here with her after he was shot. Things have not changed here.
“Umm. I came here to say good-bye. I am leaving for Italy in a few hours.” he said looking at her.
“Do you really have to leave Jason. I know I said I was sorry for the way I have treated you in that last few months, but I know it will never make up for it. I know you have to leave but will I ever see you again?” she asked hopping for a good answer.
“I am not sure. I don’t know if I will be back or not. I spent yesterday saying good-bye to the Quartermains and I talked to Emily and told her about what was happening. She said she understood why I have to go.” he told her as he sat down on the couch beside her.
“Jason? I want you to know that I will be here when and if you do come back. I want you to know I will miss you.” she said as the tears came falling freely.
“Hey now, no crying. It is not the end of the world. We can always talk on the phone right?” he said as he brought his fingers up to wipe the tears off her check.
“That is not good enough Jason. I wont be able to see you or hear your bike. I wish there was another way to go about this.” she said looking into his blue eyes.
“Liz you know all you have to do is pick up the phone and tell me you wanna come and visit. I could never say no to that. If it makes you feel better, knowing that I will still only see the wind with you.” he smiled at her.
Liz leaned her head against his shoulder. Knowing this was the last time she would see or feel his body next to hers.
Jason looked at his watch seeing that it was time to leave for the air port.
“It is time that I get going. I need to get my ticket and get my bike signed in so they can load it on." he told her getting ready to stand up.
"Jason I want you to know that I still love you and never stopped." she stood up with him but never looked at him.
"You still love me? After everything we went through?" he looked at her not sure if he heard her right.
"Yup. I guess true love or soulmates never stop loving one another." she finally looked up at him.
Jason walked to the door and opened it. He turned to her and Grabbed her face. "I love you too, and I will never stop." and he was gone.
Liz closed the door. She walked over to the couch and saw that there was a white letter sitting on the table. She grabbed it and opened it. But it wasn’t only a letter it was a ticket for today at 5:00 pm. Which was three hours from now. She saw that it was a one way ticket to Italy.
“Oh my god, he bought me a ticket to go with him. Why would he do that?” she said looking at the ticket.
The only thing she could think about was pack a bag and run for the air port, which is what she did. She called the cab company and had a taxi meet her outside and took off for the air port. She had less then one hour to get there. As the taxi pulled up too the front of the terminal she jumped out with her bag and handed the taxi a fifty dollar bill. She ran inside and went straight for the gate. As she got closer to the gate she heard the “last call” for Italy.
“Shit I will never make it.” she thought to herself.
As she was running to the gate the lady was getting ready to close the doors and Liz yelled “wait please. Don’t close them.”.
“You are lucky miss. I should close it but I will hold it so you may board. Can I see your ticket.” She asked Liz smiling.
“Here is the ticket. Can I get on now, I have to make sure I am not to late.” she said out of breath.
“Yup go ahead.” she told her.
Liz ran down the small ramp to the plane. She walked on the plane and look at her ticket to see where she was sitting. First Class seat 14. As she made her way to the seat she saw the hair of the man she loved more then anything in the world.
“Jason?” she asked.
“You made it. I was beginning to worry that you might not have seen the letter.” he said smiling at her.
“ I thought my eyes were playing with me.” she laughed.
“Nope. The only way I was going to Italy was with you. And if the plane took off and you weren’t on it, I was coming back on the next flight for you.” he told her in a serious tone.
“Well I am here and well I only have a small amount of clothes. So I know I have to shop when I get there.” she told him blushing.
“That is fine with me. I can show you where the best places are to get them.” he smiled as his blue eyes shined brighter then ever.
“Ma‘am you need to take your seat. We are about ready to take off now.” she told Liz.
“Oh okay.” she took her seat next to Jason.
He stood and put her bad in the over head compartment. “I am really glad you came. Now you can see the lights and show me the wind.” he smiled at her.
“I can’t wait to see it all with you. But please remind me when we get there that I have to call Gram and Emily.” she told him knowing Emily would be so happy for her.
“Sure we can call the minute we get off the plane. And I can tell Emily where she can get a hold of us if she needs too.” he told her while he took his seat again.
“I love you Jase and that will never change. Now and forever.” she said as she leaned in and kissed him on the check right next to his lips.
“And I love you Elizabeth. Now and forever.” and he leaned over and this time kissed her on the lips as the plane took off for the NEW life.
