Chapter Two:
"I want you to wait till I contact you and we can go from there. Other wise don't leave town." The old man said. "And once Morgan and Corinthos hear about this the step 2 will begin."
BACK AT THE HOSPITAL:
Emily and Nicholas were just leaving the office of her dad's and they saw Jason. They made their way over till they saw the look on his face.
"Emily, I think maybe we should talk to him later. It looks like something is wrong." Nicholas said as he held her hand.
Emily looked up at her boyfriend. "No. I need to see what is wrong. It could be Michael or someone else."
They walked over to Jason and saw Johnny, Francis and Max. She placed her hand on Jason's shoulder. "Jase? Are you alright? Did something happen to Michael?"
Jason looked up to find his sister and her boyfriend. "Hey Em. No everything is not alright."
"Jason what's going on? Is there something we can do to help?" Nicholas asked as Emily took the seat next to her brother.
Jason shook his head. "Nothing right now. Sonny is in there giving blood to help her. Their blood was a match and Monica said that she needed it since she lost so much."
"Jason who are you talking about?" Emily asked.
Jason looked at them. "You mean you don't know? I thought that is why you were here." He placed his head in his hands. "Emily. Elizabeth was hit by a car today. They person who hit her left her there to die. And all I have to say is when I find the person Man or woman they are dead."
Emily broke down in tears. "This is not happening. It can't right? I mean she was doing so good or at least that is what she wanted us to believe. She was going to move back with her parents because Steven was getting married in three weeks."
"Well from the sounds of it she wont be going anywhere. She will be staying here till we get who did this to her. Wheather it was meant for her or by accident." Jason said.
Just then Sonny came out with juice and a cookie. "Hey. They said we should know more with a few hours. I asked them to do a DNA test to see if anything comes up. And see how it is that we have the same blood."
"Wait, if you and her have the same blood doesn't that mean you are somehow related to each other?" Max asked his boss.
Sonny looked at Max. "That is why I am running the test. I just hope we get some answers soon, because I want to know what the chances are that she and I have the same blood."
Just then Audry came from the nurses station. "Mr Morgan. Mr. Corinthos. I think I may be able to answer that for you." She took a seat away from the men. "You see Elizabeth was adopted at 2 months old. The mother was killed by a drunk driver and so the Webbers found her and brought her home. But you can't tell her this, because she has no idea about this. Although she should know, I feel it is safer that we wait to tell her after she gets better."
"Mrs. Hardy with all due respect what are you saying. That Sonny may be somehow related to her?" Francis asked.
"Yes. I mean when she was younger the doctors said that she had a raire blood type and that 1 in a million had the same type. So I guess yes once the test come back maybe we can find out which way they are related." Audry said as she watched Monica come out with papers.
"Oh good Sonny you are still here. She took to the blood. Now all we have to do is wait for her to do is wake up." Monica looked over to Audry. "Audry. I am so sorry. I hope she gets better soon, the DNA test should be in soon Sonny so I will be back." and she left to go back to see Elizabeth.
Sonny walked off to be alone. He need to think about how Elizabeth and him could be related. He new it was not him mother or Mike that had a kid. So that left 'HER'. And he new now that she was no longer alive. Why would she not say anything to him if she was pregnant? That only meant that she could be his child. He gave his head a good shake and though long and about the last time he was Emma. The fact that Elizabeth was 23 and Born in October worked out right to the last time he was with Emma. That was the last time before she left him. To this day he thought about her and could remember what she looked like that night. 'Red fitted dress came just above the knee, red heels, her brown hair done with soft wavy curls, bright blue eyes and man was she a beautiful woman.'
Jason watched Sonny stand looking out the window. He new a million things would be going through his head rigth about now. "I will be back, I wanna see if I can see her." and he walked off.
ELIZABETH'S ROOM:
Elizabeth was hooked up to so many machines that you couldn't tell where one began and one ended. She was black and blue everywhere. She had bandage on her forehead from the large cut that happened when she hit her head on the road.
Bobbie came into the room to see how she was doing. "Oh honey. You need to wake up. You have so many people here for you. Sonny, Francis, Max, Johnny and even Jason." she shook her head. "Please sweetie wake up, your gram is here tp and you need to please wake up. Who is going to take care of Kelly's when I go on holidays with Lucas? I can't leave it to Luke to look after, you were there when he took the money and handed it out to everyone." she said laughing.
A knock came on the door. Bobbie went to the door and opened it see Jason standing there.
"Jason what are you doing here? You can see her right now." She said in her nurse tone.
"I know but I need to tell her something. Please Bobbie give five minutes?" he asked as he looked over her shoulder to see Elizabeth.
"Jason if you get caught in here I didn't let you stay here." Bobbie said as she patted him on the shoulder and walked out of the room.
Jason made his way over to her bed and looked at her. She look so small and fraial. He new that who ever did this would pay. He just needed to figure out why he was carring so much since she kicked him out of her life. All because he had to keep Sonny being alive a secret. What if he could go back and change it he would. And what if he would have tried harder to make things work out. Here he was Jason the Enforcer Morgan wondering about what if's. He was not like that. He never thought about what if's or a future or anything because he life was his work and that was it. Or it was till the night he found her at Jakes hurting for the lose of a loved one.
Jason looked at her and bowed his head. He was not one for words. "Lizabeth you know me better then anyone else and you know that I am not one for words. But please you have to wake up. You have to help me found out who did this to you." he new she would wake up when she was ready. "Come on you know you wanna wake up and go see the wind with me. Take the clif roads fast and not have a care in the world. You told me that when you were on the back of my bike that you felt free and well you are not free if you are in here. I know I have messed up big time and that you told me that when you would see me that you would treat me like I was just another person that you really did not know me."
He sat there thinking back to the memories he was able to remember. "What about the christmas you and I spent together in the studio? Making paper chains for the little tree. You gave me a great gift that year. I was able to see christmas was not over for me. I had fun and I still think you look good in the leather jacket I got you. Do you remember it?" He looked up to see her brused face, tubes coming out of her nose and mouth. "Wake for me Liz you know you want to. Just so you can tell me to go away, or even tell me that I should have tried harder to fight for 'Us' or that my life is ok for you to be in it as long as we are together."
Someone cleared their throat at the door. Jason turned to see who it was. "Sonny. I didn't know you were here."
"I knocked several times but no one answered so I thought it was ok to come in. I will come back when you are finished." he said as he was turning around.
"Sonny wait. You can stay. I need to get moving on this if I wanna find out who was behind this."
Sonny smiled. "Are you sure?"
"Yeah go ahead. I gotta get going." and he stood up from the chair and left the room only looking back once.
Sonny stood at the door for a few minutes. He was not sure what brought him here in the first place. "Well Elizabeth I never thought I would see you back in here again. I mean the last time I saw was on the docks and you were sketching something." He walked over to the chair and sat down. "You know I wish I could take back every bad thing that has happened since I met you. I am sorry I had Jason keep stuff from you, but you know it was for the business. Please Elizabeth wake up. I wanna see your smile and I wanna hear you call me Dimples." he said chuckling.
"You know there are so many things I would like to talk to you about, but you see I can't till you wake up. I wanna know if there is a chance that you and I can be friends again or at least try to be. So in order for that to work I need you to wake up." he sat there a few minutes more before he got up. "Liz just know this I will be here every day till you get out of here, whether you like it or not."
Outside at the nurses station Monica was looking for Sonny. She had the results of the DNA test. She wanted to make sure that she gave him the news.
"Amy have you seen Mr. Corinthos?" she asked one of the nurses.
"Umm yeah I did. He is in with Ms. Webber." she said as she new she would get into trouble for letting him or anyone else be in there.
"Alright thank you." and she walked away.
Monica headed for Elizabeths room to talk to Sonny. As she was about to grab the door knob Sonny opened the door. "Monica I was just talking to her."
"Sonny it is alright that you are here. I was just coming to find you anyways. I have to tests back." she said as she looked at Elizabeth over his shoulder. "Why dont we go to my office? We can talk there."
Sonny nodded his head. "Francis tell Max to not let anyone other then her doctors and nurses in here. If they dont have a pass then call for Monica or Bobbie to check it out. I want no one near her."
"Yes Boss.Do you want me to come with you or Johnny?" Francis asked his boss and good friend.
"No I will be fine. I will be with Dr. Quartermain in her office." and he and Monica walked away.
MONICA'S OFFICE:
Sonny sat there for what seemed like hours. He thought he was going to pass out. "Monica are you sure that this test was done right?"
"Yes. It was done several times because we wanted to make sure that it was right." She said as she looked over the results again. "It shows that you are 99.99%..........." she was cut off by the beeping of her pager.
