Forever And Always
Chapter SIX:
THE DOCKS
Jason was walking along the docks and new that tonight would be the night he told her everything. He need to explain it to her so that she new
that he was beyond sorry for all the pain and hurt that he caused her.
He had his mind set on having the old bridge set up with candles, dinner, and music. But he could not do this all himself. He needed help and that
only meant one person. 'Carly'. Shaking his head, he new that there would be a million questions but for now he needed her to do this one thing
for him. So he picked up the phone.
"Hello?" Carly asked into her phone
"Carly its Jason. Look I need your help."
"What do you need me for? You never ask for it ever"
"I need you to set up a nice little dinner at the bridge for me. Can you do that?"
"I can, but can you tell me if this has to do with my step-daughter?" she asked as she cringed.
Jason shook his head. "Look can you do it or not? I can always ask Emily or someone."
"Ok. Ok. I will do it. When do you want it done by?"
"730 tonight please. I know this is last minute, but I need to do this."
"Ok Jase you can either come with me to get the stuff or let me take care of it?"
"Umm I have something that I have for it, but you do the rest on your own."
"Bye Jase."
"By Carly."
THE STUDIO:
Liz was busy trying to paint yet another picture but nothing was coming to her. The only thing that came out was The Red Glass or something
close to the Wind. She looked at this one sitting in front of her and smiled. It was a picture of Sonny,Carly, Michael and Vanessa sitting in the park.
It looked like it was a spring setting with Flowers and trees with blossoms. And in the shadows was a young woman hidden behind the tree. Only
to the eyes looking for something could see her.
KNOCK KNOCK.....
Liz looked at the door. 'Who could be here now?' she thought to her self.
Walking over to the door she looked over to the bat that Jason had gave her in order to protect herself in case something was to ever happened.
"Who is it?" she asked.
"Liz it's me. Emily. Can I come in?"
Liz opened the door and let her long time friend in. "What are you doing here?"
"I thought I would come by to see you. I have not see you around and I wanted to see if you wanted to go to dinner at the Grill?"
She thought for a moment and looked at her friend. "I would love to Em, but I have so much to do and so little time. I wanna finish this painting
before I go out. I have been working on it for a while and I think I almost have it."
"Can I see it?" She asked knowing that Liz never showed a her painting till they were done.
"No. I dont want anyone to see it till I finish. I would but I dont think you would understand the meaning behind it." Liz tried to explain. "But I dont
think anyone would unless I told you want to look for."
"Ok well that is your call not mine. All thought when it is done I would like to see it." Emily told her.
Emily looked around the studio. "You know Liz for someone who has money I thought maybe you would have moved out of here. I know you like
living here but come on there must be so many hidden memories behind it."
"Yeah there are but you know what I like it here. I would move but nothing would feel like home to me unless it was with someone that new me and
my history here."
"Ok well I guess I will go. Call me and we will do dinner one night this week." She said as she made her way to the door. "Oh and dont forget,
grandmother would like to see."
"Thanks Em. I will stop in and see Lila soon."
After Emily left Liz looked at her painting again and smiled. She new there was one thing left to add to it. But this would be something that no one
would see if at all.
THE DOCKS:
Jason was walking along the docks waiting for Carly to call him. It had been an two hours since he had last talked to her. He new Carly could pull
this off. She was the master at planning anything with short notice. But he would never tell her that.
RING RING.......
"Morgan."
"Hey Jase. I have everything finished here. All you have to do is get her here." Carly said.
"Thanks Carly. You got everything to make tonight special? Candles, Blanket, Wine, Food?"
Laughing into the phone. "Yes Jason everything is done. I just wish you would have more faith in me to do something like this."
"Oh Carly I do have faith in you but I know how you feel about Elizabeth, and I know you are not happy with her being Sonny's daughter."
"Like I told Sonny I will be nice and get along with her. I can see how much you care for her and how much the kids love her. So I will do everything
to make peace with her."
Rolling his eyes. "That is all I or Sonny ask for, and you know she is growing on you. So Thanks again but I need to go and get her."
He hung up his phone and made his way over to the door to the building that held Elizabeths Studio. As he made his way up her stairs to her door,
he thought about all the things he needed to say to her.
As he stood there starring at her door for the longest time. He new it was now or never.
He lifted his right hand and knocked on her door. He waited for her to open her door. He just hoped that she was home and was not out
somewhere.
The door opened and there stood the love of his life. "Hey."
"Hey what are you doing here? I thought you had to work tonight." She asked as she stood back and let him walk in.
"No I got the night off cause I have something I needed to do." he said as she stood by the paint table.
"Oh well you came to hang out then? Cause all I am really doing now is touching up the painting that I just finished."
"Well in that case wash up and change your clothes. I have something I need to show you." he said as he walked over to the window where the
painting was. "What new painting have you finished now?"
She looked at him like he had lost his mind. "Jason you know as well as anyone that I dont tell or show what it is."
"I know that. But you also know that I could stand here for a year and still not see it. So that is why I have you. You can tell me what it is and what is
going on in it."
"Jason. Look if I tell you, you have to promise me you wont laugh or judge me on it."
"Lizabeth you know me better then anyone and everyone. Have I ever judged you or laughed at a painting?"
Shacking her head. "No you have not done any of that." She said. "May I will tell you after I get cleaned up and you show me what you have to
show me."
"Ok I think that can be done. Now go before it gets recked."
Liz quickly went and cleaned herself up and made sure to put a hint of lip gloss on so that if they were to kiss again then he would not want to stop
since she would taste like strawberries.
She walked back into the room to see Jason starring at her painting. "Jason. I know you hate that you cant see the pictures but I will tell you when
we get back I promise you."
"Thanks Lizabeth. I guess sometimes it gets to me, but then all I have to think about is you and how you will tell me what I need to see. Like the the
painting of the Wind."
"Come on lets go." she said dragging him out of her studio. "By the way are we taking your bike?"
"You I think you are just using me for the bike. I seem to remember that is all you ever asked for when you were around and I was around more."
"Yeah well I like the bike more then you." she said running down the stairs giggling away.
"WOMAN." he said as he ran after her to the bike.
As they rode off to where Jason had everything set up by Carly, he kept thinking back to all the times that they had jumped on the bike and rode
off.
As they took the cliff rodes as fast as they could, Jason could hear her yelling into the wind. They pulled up to where they always did and
dismounted.
"Oh my god. I could never get tired of that feeling or having the wind fly by me." she said as she took the helmet off her head.
"What feeling is that. The one where your arms are aound my hard stomach or the one where you have a hard piece of machine between your
legs?" he said with a soft smile.
She looked at him and burst out laughing. "Oh my god did Jason Morgan just make a joke or were you trying to be funny?"
"No I was asking the truth." he said trying to hid his smile.
"Funny Morgan, but I like the feel of the wind and and the feeling of being free. I only get that when I am with you on the bike." She said as she
walked over towards the bridge.
"Wait Liz I need to tell you something before we go over there."
She stopped in her tracks. "What is it Jason? Please you know you can tell me anything right?"
"Yeah, I know I can. But I want you to know that when we go onto the bridge you need to keep and open mind about what you see."
"Ok sure. If that is what you want me too do then yeah I will. But I wish you would tell me what is going on." she said as she walked over to the
bridge.
She stood there starring at what was the most beautiful setting she had ever seen. There was candles and a large red blanket with food set out with
two wine glasses. The candles were set so that ever inch of the railing was covered, and around the blanket.
"Oh Jason it is so beautiful. I dont know what to say." she said as she looked back at him with tears in here eyes. "I mean I can say thank you but
that would never cover what you have done here tonight."
"Well then I take it you like what you see?"
"I love it Jason. I....I...thank you." she said as she walked over to him and placed a soft kiss on his lips. She pulled back and looked into his eyes and leaned in again and the kiss was more powerful and more meaningful then any other they had ever shared.
