Chapter 12.
A soft breeze blew over the water and up to where she sat. the nights sky shone with million apon millions of tiny little stars.
She was a mess and it was all Sonny Corinthos' fault. She and Jason were to spend their last night as single people together.
"God why does he have to do everything Sonny says? I new things would never change." she said outloud to the world.
"What was I ever thinking, I can never compete with Sonny, Carly and Michael. Not even our children will be able to. They will always come first, last and always." she said to know in pertickular.
She didn't hear or see the person who stood behind the tree listening to her speak her mind.
"I am sorry you feel that you and your kids come second in Jason's like. I know you feel that my family and work are always going to be top of his list, but you know he loves you." Sonny said as he came out from behind a tree.
Liz couldn't even look at him, for fear she would cry again and show that she was not ready to be part of this family.
"Look Sonny what I just said, well that was me getting my anger out. Whether it was directed at you or Jason or whoever, that does not give you the right to sneak up on someone."
"Well you should have been back in your room over 30 minutes ago. Your grandmother and everyone else was getting worried about you. So being the nice guy that I was I thought I would come look for you."
Getting up and brushing herself off she turned to leave. "Thank you for telling me I was out past the time I told my grams I would be back."
"Elizabeth for what it's worth. I am sorry you feel the way you do about my family." with that said Sonny walked back to the house alone.
She ran back tot he house with tears running down her face. She ran as fast as she could up to her room and slammed the door shut.
UPSTAIRS:
Jason was siiting witht he twins waiting for Liz to show. So that they could say one last good night to them before they go separte ways for the night.
Getting up from the bed, he walked to the door and opened it, seeing the bathroom door slam shut. He thought he had better check it out.
Closing the twins door he walked to the bathroom foor and was about to knock when her heard her crying.
Knocking on the door, he waited for her to do something. Turning the knob to see if it was open which it was he pushed his way in. Not seeing her, but her heard her.
She was in te shower stall when she heard the bathroom door close. Thinking she was alone again she continued to cry until a soft tap on the shower door made her turn around.
Looking into her blue eyes almost brought him to his knees. What he say there scared him. There was pain and hurt. "Baby." he said slowly lowering himself tot he floor beside her. "What happened? Who hurt you?"
"Just leave me alone. I can't be anywhere near your." she said backing away from him.
"Liz tell me what's wrong?" he asked her. taking her chin in his hand he raised it so he was looking into her eyes. "Tell me what has you so upset."
"Fine. If that is what you really what. I was and still am pissed at you. How could you not tell him that we had already planned to spend the evening together alone." she asked shifting herself away from him. "You know I should have caught on sooner. You will always be Sonny's enforcer first, last and always." she got up and ran into her room.
Emily and Carly stood there and listen to Liz yell at Jason. "Do you think she meant it?" Emily asked.
"To be honest, you know them like I do and they never say soemthing they don't mean." Carly said. "But for something like this to make her snap must have been big. Or something to make her believe that there was a threat to her upcoming life with Jason."
"Well you go talk to Jason while I go see what I can get out of her. Maybe we should talk to Sonny too, he might know what is going on." Emily said as she patterd Carly on the arm.
"Thanks. I guess once we figure out the reason behind this fight, we can make sure it never happens again." Carly said as she walked to the bathroom to talk to Jason while Emily made off to Liz's room.
