CHAPTER 23 (NEW POST)
“Well I guess we are going to have our hands full this week, and that means we need to start right after breakfast. So we need a dress, flowers, rings, people, food, and everything else. Is there anything special you want and where?” Sonny asked.
“We want to get married up and the Bridge, and we also want the reception there too. I have it all in my head on how I want it. The centre pieces, candles, flowers, dress, brides maid dress’ and lights. We want a late day wedding and a night time reception with little twinkle lights hanging everywhere. Kind of like when Jason and I go for a ride and we go there and when you get off the bike the stars seem to be right there where you can reach out and grab them all.” Liz said as she got a far off look in her eyes.
“So you are saying that you want to get married this Saturday? Which only gives us one week to the day?” Carly asked as she sat at the table looking at her step-daughter.
“Yeah we want to get married August 27. Which is our kind of anniversary.” Liz said as she sat down next to Michael.
“What are you talking anniversary?” Sonny asked.
“We met August 27th 1999 and that is the day we want to get married except that we are getting married in 2005 not 1999.” Jason said chuckling.
“Dad can mom and Nessa come with me after breakfast so that I can show them the dress that I want, and show the dress’ that I picked for them, because I am sure you and Jase and Michael have Tuxedo’s to go looking for.” Liz said looking at Carly as she new it was something that a mother and daughter did. “Plus I need to phone Emily and make sure she wants to come.”
“Yeah you must take a three guards with you when you go though. I think Johnny, Francis and Max would be willing to go with you.” Sonny said.
“Jason have you thought about who you are going to ask to be your best man and a grooms man?” Carly asked as she took a bite of her French toast.
“Well I wanted to ask Sonny.” he said looking at his best friend and soon to be father in law. “But I really think I should ask Johnny and Francis. I am sorry Sonny, but I think with you already walking Liz down the aisle I think…” shaking his head and looking to Liz for help.
“What he is trying to say dad is that Johnny and Francis have been a great friends to both Jason and I and with you already walking me down the aisle he thought it would be a good idea to ask them.” she said taking his hand in hers.
“Well I understand that and believe me there are no hard feelings. I am just happy enough to walk my first daughter down the aisle.” he said putting his hand out to Jason to show no hard feelings.
“Thanks Sonny, I was worried you might not understand.” Jason said as he shook his hand with strength.
“Ok well if we are done here can we go, cause I really want to see the dress’ that Liz picked out. And I think with all this male bonding here it would be best if we ladies leave now.” Carly said getting up and taking Vanessa into the kitchen to wash her hands.
~THREE HOURS LATER~
JADE’S BRIDEL ROOM (Brides, Bridesmaids, Flower girls)
As Carly, Emily and Vanessa waited for Elizabeth to come out in the dress that she had picked long ago which only was several years ago when she saw it in the store window.
Coming out of the room she slowly made her way to where the others waited. “Ok I am going to come out now, but remember this is not the only dress out there and I am sure if its not right I can find another one.” she said, but new in her heart that this was the dress she wanted.
As she stepped into the room she watched Emily and Carly stand there with their mouths open. “What is something wrong?” she asked.
“My word girl, that dress is going to be it. It has to be since it fits like a glove and is just perfect on you.” Emily said as she whipped her tears away.
“Mom? What do you think?” she asked Carly who had yet to say a thing.
“I am speechless. I am not sure what to say sweetie. I mean the dress is beautiful, and Emily is right it is really you. With the ring colour that Jason gave you and the fact you have always looked great in that colour, I cant even say what I want right now I just cant find the words.”
“Thank you. I know when I saw this one way back, I new someday I wanted this one. But now with the ring and this dress they work.” She smiled. “Just think this is the one I will pass down to my first daughter.” she laughed. “I just need to know that this is what I want to get married in and when Jason sees me that he will know the meaning behind it.”
“Trust me if my brother knows you and the meaning of this colour he will, and he will be speechless just like Carly and every other woman that will get to see you on Saturday.” Emily said as she took to steps back twirling her finger around.
Slowly turning around she gave the effect of the dress. “What kind of shoes should I wear?”
“I personally think something that would blow us away. Maybe something in the colour of what is on the dress or maybe the Cinderella glass slippers, but then again that is just my opinion.” Em said smiling.
“Lizzy when do I get to see my dress?” Vanessa asked quietly sitting on a chair.
“As soon as I get out of this I will show you all your dresses since they are here.” she said as she dashed in the back.
Fifteen minutes later she came out with the dress and the sales lady. “Now your dresses are over here and I want you to know that I have a reason for the colour of yours, but with Nessa’s I went simple yet elegant.” she said walking over to the dress’.
Holding out the dress she had picked for her mom and Emily was a peach colour and was a spaghetti strapped that tied in the back of the neck and was a floor length dress. The back was low cut and criss crossed just above the tail bone and had a strip of mesh across the stomach and it had a light dusting of sparkles over it and was just what she wanted since the flowers she picked for her bridesmaids were peach coloured.

Both the ladies were is shock over the dress that she had picked out.
“You really have thought about this haven’t you?” asked Emily as she fingered the dress.
“Yeah, I just kind of figured who ever I marry this is what I had in mind for the dresses.” she said smiling. “What do you think?”
“Well I for one love the colour and style. I want to try it on and see if it fits, but I am sure they are going to have to shorten it and take it in a bit.” Em said as she giggled.
“They will have to let it out in the stomach for me I know that.” Carly laughed.
“Now do I get to see my dress?” her sister asked again.
“Yes Ness you can see and try it on if you want too.”
“YAY.” she yelled as Liz got her dress from the front of the store. “Now what do you think about this one?”
“Lizzy that is pretty. I like it, its just like yours.” she giggled. “But if its like yours wont I be getting married too?”
“No silly just me, and you will get married in a few years.”
“Liz that dress is hot, but don’t you think its to much for where you want to have the wedding?” Emily asked.
“No because this is where dry cleaners come in if something was to get on the dress, but I think it is what will make us all look very pretty. We will all be the talk of town.”
This is the dress that Vanessa will be wearing. Took me forever to find something that would go with the wedding theme.
