Forever and Always
CHAPTER 24
Friday was here and everyone that was anyone well not really anyone. You more or less had to be on the list to be able to help with the set up of the wedding. Everyone was hanging tiny twinkle lights in every tree, which to Liz was not going to be enough. They had spent just over $1000.00 on lights for the tree’s and another $1000.00 on lights for the dance floor to which Jason said he didn’t want.
Sonny sat and watched one of the men work on the tables that he was setting up. He new that this was what Jason and Elizabeth wanted, but he could help but wonder if this was the safest. The Family’s were coming and this was going to be a night that no one would soon for get.
Carly was setting up the centre pieces on the tables. Candles in Red and peach with little amount of glitter sprinkled around the centre of it. The flowers would not be here till after the wedding was done. Several people were coming to set it up and that way the flowers would not get destroyed.
Jason and Elizabeth sat together on his bike, well Jason sat sideways and Liz stood in between his legs.
“Do you really think we can pull this all off?” she asked looking over her shoulder.
“As long as your happy with how this is going then I don’t see a problem. You know we should help someone do something.” he said tightening his hold on her.
“Not on your life. Plus Emily seems to have everything under control. She has been ordering everyone around and they have not said anything about it. I think its to with the fact she is your sister.” she said giggling.
“Never in all my life have I seem Johnny and Fancis look scared. Emily and Carly have been pushing everyone to get things done and I hope they do.”
“Jason, how about you and I put our own hands in and we do something and help out? This is our day and I want to know that you and I did something to make this day special.”
“Sure, but can you find something for us to do? I mean we have almost ever guy and woman we know working this and I don’t think there is anything we can do to help. Maybe we can walk around and see, but I don’t think I want my sister or Carly telling us what to do.”
“Oh come Jason this will be fun, seeing as they would tell us to get to work if they new we were here. They think we are off spending the last of our hours alone in the penthouse and I sure as hell would rather be there then here, but face it I want to help and I know you do too.” she said kissing his jaw. “I just want tomorrow to be something you and I can look back on in 50 years and say we did a fine job with our wedding and be able to tell our grandchildren that we had the more memorable wedding that anyone has ever been too.”
Pushing her away from him he smiled. “Fine you go do something and I will find your dad and see if there is something I can do.”
Standing there she leaned up and kissed him softly on the lips. “I love you and I will hope that you can find something to keep your hands busy from now until we say I do.” she said as she raced off for Emily on the other side of the lot.
Shacking his head he laughed. He saw Sonny watching as the last table was set and Carly moved to that one as she began to get it ready. “Can I do anything to help?”
Turning around so fast she almost dropped the candles. “What in the world are you doing here?”
“Liz and I came to see if we could help out. We thought since this is our wedding we should be here.”
“Yeah right. Jason you would rather be back at the Penthouse doing other things then sitting around here watching everyone work.” Sonny said as he stood from the chair.
“Yeah well, you have to understand if I didn’t come I would be in more trouble for letting her come alone and I would rather make her happy then mad, cause I know how she gets.”
Liz was slowly walking around taking everything in. The lights were all hung up and even she was shocked to see more of the tree trunks covered in lights too. The bridge had lights and candles set out on them. ‘Man my dad really went all out for this.’ she thought.
She saw Emily watching as Francis hung the last flower on the arch that would hold her and Jason as they said “I do” and smiled.
“You know Francis, sometimes its ok to her to back off.” she said giggling.
“Yeah I almost did and I got smacked good for it.” he smiled.
“What are you doing here anyways? You and my brother are supposed to be at home doing whatever it is that you planned to do.”
“Well I wanted to come here and see if I could help with anything.”
“Well go home. We have almost finished and once all the guys are here to make sure no one gets within 100 yards of this place we can all go home and have fun.”
“Ok well are all the chairs set for the wedding tomorrow?” she asked looking behind her and saw nothing.
“Well the thing is your dad, Carly and the guys and I had another idea. We thought it might be better if we all stood that way when were done here we can all go right over to the tables and dance floor for the party.” she said waiting for Liz to freak out.
“Oh ok, I just thought that it would be night for everyone to be sitting down, but I guess since my mom and dad have done this before maybe its ok.”
“Liz are you ok? You look like your about to cry.” Johnny asked as he came over and saw the look cross her face.
“Hmm, yeah I think so. I just felt this weird feeling cross over me like something is going to happen tomorrow.”
“Honey trust me. Nothing is going to happen when we have every man and the PCPD here. Plus The Families are bringing more men in to help out since you guys wanted an outside wedding.” Johnny said as he looked to Francis.
LATER THAT NIGHT:
Everyone was sitting around the Corinthos’ penthouse talking about tomorrows activities and waiting for Sonny to come out with the food.
“So the Grill is supplying the food, and Jake is supplying the booze right?” asked Emily who said next to Vanessa.
“Yes, but Jake even closed the bar so that she could be there tomorrow and asked her driver to bring a shipment to the bar and to the bridge because she was supplying her good friends wedding.” Liz said as she leaned on Jason.
“Yeah well as long as there is beer I will be ok, I don’t do Champagne and wine really so I asked Jake to make sure there was going to be beer in the shipment. I just hope hat when dinner comes and we have to toast I can use beer in my glass and not some bubbly crap.” he said with a small smile.
“Jason you and the guys all got your tux’s right? Cause tomorrow we get married and there better not be any problems.” Emily said as she helped Vanessa with her colouring.
“Yes we all got them and they are all sitting in Johnny’s cause we don’t want you guys to see them. That was the only place we could think of. What about all your dresses and stuff?” he said looking down at Liz who had a far off look on her face.
“They are at my place. I thought it might be better since we are not letting anyone see the dresses and that we when its time to get ready we can there, and then head to the Bridge.”
