CHAPTER 3
"No you did not. You called me Webber. And Jason is the only one that ever called me that." she said staring him down. "Who told you about the nick name?"
"Well I talked to someone about you and they told me everything I wanted to know." he said giving her an evil grin.
"Lucky Spencer. I am going to kill you. How could you do this to me?" she said getting down right mad.
"Liz I never said nothing to him." Lucky said trying to defend himself.
"Then who was it? Hmm tell me. I have a right to know why this new guy knows the nickname Jason gave me." she asked him again.
"Liz what if I told you I talked to Jason? And that I know of a way for you to talk to him too." Lucky said trying to get out of being on the hot seat.
"What? You talked to Jason. Did he call you or have you had his number the whole time he has been gone?" she asked not knowing that Jason was sitting beside her.
Just then Bobbie came over to fill the order from the boys.
"What can I get you two?" she asked.
"Hey Aunt Bobbie, can I get a deluxe burger and fries and a Chocolate shake." Lucky asked.
"Hey Bobbie can I get a Cheese burger and Fries and Coke please?" Jason asked.
"Oh good lord. Carly get out here. Look who is home." she yelled out for everyone to here.
"Mama what is it." she asked coming over to the table. "Oh my gosh. Jason Morgan is that you?"
"Hey guys." he said in a tough voice.
"What is going on here? You are not Jason!" she said looking at him.
"Nice to know that you have no idea who I am Elizabeth. I guess I know you really did forget me." he said in a hurt voice.
Liz started to shove Jason out of the way. "Move please I need to leave." she said moving Jason out of the way.
Liz ran from the table and out the door forgetting her school bag. Jason saw this and told his everyone to hold the order till he came back.
As he made his way out of the Diner, he knew where she was going. To the one place that belonged to them when they were growing up. The Docks. As he made his way down the street to the docks, he thought back to the many letters and pictures she sent him over the the years he was gone. He new he should have sent something but as it was he parents made it so he could not call anyone but them and his Grandmother.
As he entered on the docks he saw her sitting on the bench wiping her eyes.
"Hey Webber, why are you crying? I thought you would be one of the only ones happy to see me?" he asked as he sat on the bench next to her.
"Why should I be happy you are home? You never called me or wrote me back, so why should I care you are here now?" she said looking at the ground.
"Damn it Liz. I couldn’t call you or write you, my parents had it blocked. I could only write Grandmother and home that was it along with the phone calls." he said trying to make her understand it was not him it was Allan and Monica.
Liz looked up at him and was not sure if he was telling the truth. "You could have sent a note or something with Mrs. Quartermains letters."
"Yeah I could have but I wanted to be able to tell you everything in person not in some letter." he told her.
He got off the bench and moved so that he was standing in front of her. He sat on the ground and made it hard for her not to look at him.
"Why did you come home Jason? Why now?" she asked looking into his dark blue eyes.
Jason looked at her and thought for a moment. "I came home because I hated it there and I just kind of left. I felt the need to come back to good old Port Chuck." he said. "And I picked now because we only have this year left before we are graduating and I wanted to be home to do that and not at some Stupid boarding school."
"Oh. Ok I understand." she said feeling hurt for thinking he might have missed her in the the years he was gone.
"What's wrong now?" he asked.
Liz looked up with tears in here eyes. "I thought maybe that....." she could not finish her sentence because a lump had formed in her throat.
"Maybe what? Maybe I just had to get out of there or maybe I missed you and wanted to come back to the one person who understood me the most. Is that what you wanted me to say Webber?" he said is tough voice.
"I don't know what I wanted you to say Jason. I guess I was hoping you would say that you missed me like I missed you." she said as she wiped the last of her tears off her face.
