http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pella_katadesmos
The Pella katadesmos is a katadesmos (Greek: κατάδεσμος) (a curse, or magic spell) inscribed on a lead scroll, dating to the 4th or 3rd century BC. It was found in Pella (at the time capital of Macedon) in 1986 and published in the Hellenic Dialectology Journal in 1993. It is possibly the only attested text in the ancient Macedonian language (O. Masson).
It is a magic spell or love charm written by a woman, possibly named Dagina, whose lover Dionysophōn (i.e. "Voice of Dionysus") is apparently about to marry Thetima (i.e. "she who honors the gods"; the standard Attic form would be Theotimē). She invokes "Makron and the demons" (parkattithemai makrōni kai [tois] daimosi, Attic would be para-kata-tithemai) to cause Dionysophon to marry her rather than Thetima, and never to marry another woman unless she herself recovers and unrolls the scroll.
Katadesmoi were spells written on non-perishable material, such as lead, stone or baked clay, and were secretly buried to ensure their physical integrity, which would then guarantee the permanence of their intended effects.
The language is a harsh but distinctly recognizable form of North-West or Doric Greek, and the low social status of its writer, as evidenced by her vocabulary and belief in magic, strongly hint that a unique form of Doric Greek was spoken by lay people in Pella at the time the tab was written (see below, Dating and Significance). Brixhe and Panayotou (1994:209) think a Macedonian origin of the text probable, but they point out that the population of Pella was not homogenously autochthonic, and they prefer to wait for a second find before making a definitive statement.
Even before the discovery of the Pella katadesmos in 1986, it was noted that Doric Greek may have been spoken in pre-Hellenistic Macedon as a second dialect in addition to a Macedonian dialect

Definition: In its heyday, Thessalonica was one of the great ports of the Mediterranean world, but the city of Thessalonica wasn't founded until 315 B.C., when Cassander (the son of Antipater and husband of Alexander's half-sister) was ruling Macedonia. At the time Philip II succeeded to the throne, Macedonia was still completely landlocked and had to depend on the goodwill of other cities for access to the sea. This put Macedonia at a grave commercial disadvantage, and Philip set out to rectify the situation by taking over first Amphipolis and then Pydna in 357 B.C. He then proceeded to extend his control over the Chalcidice peninsula by 348 BC. It was on the west side of this peninsula that Thessalonica was eventually founded over 30 years later.

This expansion of Attic led to the adoption of some non-Attic features by users of the dialect, even in Attica. This dialect mixing represented the beginnings of the koine dialektos, or "common dialect", more usually referred to simply as the Koine, as Koine Greek, or as Hellenistic Greek (after the historical period in which it arose). With the rise of the Macedonian Empire in the 4th century and the decision of Philip II of Macedonia to adopt (the modified) Attic as the official administrative language of his state, and with the subsequent expansion of Macdeonian influence under his son Alexander the Great, the Greek language, in its emerging Koine Greek form, was spread throughout Asia Minor, Egypt, Syria and the Levant, Mesopotamia, and Persia.

LONG TIME BEFORE THE BULGARIAN ANCESTORS OF THE FYROMIANS DECENDED TO THE BALKAN PENINSULA, THIS IS WHAT WAS HAPPENNING
http://library.thinkquest.org/10805/alexmap.html
Map of Alexander's Empire
This map shows the vast empire conquered by Alexander the Great in red highlight. The extent of the empire is an approximation of 320 BC.
King Philip II of Macedon took advantage of the feuding between Greek city states to take control of all of Greece. Upon his assasination, his son, Alexander the Great inherited Philip II's realm. During Alexander's life he expanded the empire to stretch through Egypt and parts of India. Alexander the Great's empire was crippled after his death. From his empire, three main Hellenistic civilizations emerged: Ptolemaic Egypt, Macedon, and Seleucid Syria. The seperate kindoms flourished in education, but internal rivalries led to the fall of each to Roman conquerers.

This map shows the Greek settlements c550 BC
550 BC was during the Archaic Period of Greek History. During this period of time the Greeks began exploration for agricultural land. Sea trade increased substantially throughout the mediterranean, and colonization of new regions began. It is estimated that around this time period, there were nearly 700 different city states of Greek population. The trade with other nations changed the Greek culture as reflected in the artwork, pottery, statues, and by the adoption of coinage.

Enormous numbers of Greek immigrants flocked to the Kingdom of Syria. Syrian trade was vastly expanded as a result of the newcomers' efforts, reaching into India, the Far East, and Europe. The Greeks built new cities in Syria and colonized existing ones. Syrian and Greek cultures synthesized to create Near Eastern Hellenism, noted for remarkable developments in jurisprudence, philosophy, and science.

Edessa, Syria The town lies in the fertile plain of Haran, ringed by limestone hills on three sides. It controls the strategic pass to the south, through which runs a road from Anatolia to northern Mesopotamia, which has been used since antiquity. The town in the 2nd millennium BCE was probably the chief city of a Hurrian state destroyed by the Hittites in the 14th century. Traditions of its earliest foundation associate the site with the legendary king Nimrod, and Muslim legend associates the place with Abraham; a cave beneath Urfa's citadel is said to be Abrahams's birthplace.
The Aramaic name, Urhai, was changed to Edessa when it was refounded as a military settlement in the 3rd century BCE. Freeing itself from imposed Hellenism, Edessa, as capital of the principality of Osroλne, was one of the main centers of Syrian culture; it figured prominently in the conflicts between Parthia and Rome.
Alexander the Great and the Hellenistic Empire 333 - 64BC:
The defeat of Darius by the great leader Alexander of Macedonia was the beginning of Western rule over Syria. The Hellenistic Empire combined both Western and Eastern cultures but with a predominantly Greek system and outlook. After Alexander's death, Greater Syria was divided into two empires one under Ptolemy, the other under Seleucus. Contemporary Syria was under the Seleucids. The Seleucids built Apamea as their Military base using Latakia as their main port. They also built the fortress of Doura Europos. All these cities were built under Greek architectural design and planning. At the end of this period came the Arab Nabateans from the south taking over Damascus and Bosra, while the Romans came from the north. http://www.syriagate.com/Syria/about/general/history.htm

Alexander the Great's father, Philip, was the brother of King Perdiccas III of Macedon or Macedonia, in northern Greece. In 359 B.C., King Perdiccas died. His young son Amyntas was expected to succeed him, with Philip as his regent, but Philip usurped his nephew's throne, making himself King Philip II. He proved to be a strong ruler, and in a few decades he conquered most of Greece.
Philip's wife was Olympias, daughter of King Neoptolemus I of Epirus, which was located in what is now southern Albania and northwest Greece. Their son Alexander was born in 356 B.C. Alexander had a younger sister, Cleopatra (not the famous Egyptian queen).

Macedonia is already in the EU, no space for a second (fake one)...Belgrade had no idea early last century that the Bulgarian minority of south Serbia would seek EU membership and the EU (and Greece as its membere state) would exist.
It's so simple...you'll have to change your name at some point..and abandon any referrences about ATG, Philip etc, from your lying websites. We are not in a hurry...when the time comes, we'll make you comform to reality or we'll make you suffer

because when the time comes for FYROM to beg for EU membership, its name will have to change or FYROM WILL HAVE TO BEAR THE CONSEQUENCIES---> STAY OUT AND ALONE IN A ROUGH WORLD AT THE MERCY OF ITS GROWING ALBANINA MINORITY----CHANGE YOUR NAME FYROMIANS AND SPARE THE LOOTS OF THE HISTORY AND SYMBOLS OF YOUR NEIGHBORS
Officially, you are still FYROM...enjoy the hallucination of being "Macedonia" while it lasts...we'll force you to change it...sooner or later...AND THAT'S WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT. Either die of poverty and fall prey to the Albanian appetite (which will grow bigger once your admittance to the EU will be blocked by Greece if you dont change your name) or prosper while respecting the history and symbols of your neighbors. Why Did Macedonia Start Crying
26 July 2006 | 07:39
On September 8, 2006 Macedonia will have had 15 teenage years of independence behind it.
What happened in these 15 years:
- In 1991 Bulgaria refused to participate in a three-party conference with Greece and Yugoslavia on the future of Macedonia without the presence of Macedonian representatives
- In January 1992 Bulgaria became the first to recognize the independence of Macedonia
- In 1992 Russia recognized Macedonia under its constitutional name during a visit of the President Yeltsin in Sofia
- In 1992 Bulgaria granted its diplomatic missions and representative offices for presenting and lobbying for Macedonia’s accession to the UN
- In 1992 Bulgaria provided a “green corridor” for supplying Macedonia with fuel during the Greek economic blockade surrounding the conflict on the name of Macedonia
- In 1999 Bulgaria granted 150 tanks and 150 artillery systems to Macedonia
- during the Kosovo crisis in the spring of 1999 Bulgaria refused economic assistance to Macedonia
- During the war in 2001 Bulgaria rendered economic, political and logistics assistance to Macedonia in the fields of state, economic, political and public life in view of the fast integration of the country to international institutions and organizations, in its preparation for NATO membership and implementing the requirements of the EU
What Macedonia did:
- Created the problem – if you recognize the independence of the country, will you recognize the nation?
- Created the language conflict
- Drew images of Bulgarian statesmen onto the maps of San Stefano Bulgaria
- Sold the fuel imported from Bulgaria because of the Greek Embargo to Yugoslavia at three-times-higher price
- Chased away journalists, covering the Parliamentary elections in 1998
- Made Bulgaria a constant issue for its inner-party fights. Started to publicly use phrases, which use the name of Bulgaria in a negative aspect
- Sold the tanks granted by Bulgaria after it announced they were old and useless
- Constantly wanted to register party of the so-called Macedonian minority in Bulgaria
- Small, smaller and smallest Macedonian leaders blamed Bulgaria for stealing history, museum treasures, personalities, etc. http://www.focus-fen.net/index.php?focus=scan&sid=1098

A large number of Israel Defense Forces soldiers were wounded Wednesday in fierce gun battles with Hezbollah in the southern Lebanese town of Bint Jbail.
The IDF was involved in efforts Wednesday to retrieve the casualties, even as the heavy clashes continued.
The troops became involved in close-quarter fighting with Hezbollah guerillas in the early hours of Wednesday, despite taking control of the town a day earlier. The fighting has been going on since.
On Tuesday, IDF infantry and armored corps soldiers surrounded the Hezbollah stronghold, but decided against seizing the entire town.
Military officials said Golani Brigade infantry troops had surrounded the village Tuesday, imposed a closure and took some houses on the outskirts.
"There is fighting from every direction, including from the air. We are hitting terrorists, we have also taken several prisoners in this fighting. The enemy has more than a few casualties, and overall we are now stabilizing the situation to completely take over the village," Lieutenant Colonel Itzik Ronen, a deputy brigade commander of a unit operating in the area, told Army Radio.
Eight IDF soldiers were lightly wounded in fighting in the area early Tuesday and seven of them were evacuated to hospitals in Israel. Fifteen soldiers remain hospitalized in Nahariya from earlier battles with Hezbollah.
Also Wednesday, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan that he has ordered a thorough investigation into an Israel Air Force strike on a UN base in southern Lebanon, in which four peacekeepers were killed.
Israel Air Force jets struck 15 rocket-launching sites northeast of the Lebanese town of Tyre on Tuesday morning as well as various Hezbollah targets, including vehicles, weapons storage sites and close to 18 buildings used by the Shi'a organization's operatives all over Lebanon.
OTHER THAN THE IMPOTENT HIZBOLLAH PROPAGANDA, THE IDF IS INFORMING DAILY ABOUT THE KIA CASUALTIES AND THERE IS NO INFORMATION ABOUT 12 KILLED SOLDIERS IN TUESDAY.

European Free Alliance demands recognition of Macedonian minority in Bulgaria
Skopje, July 24 (MIA) - The President of the European Free Alliance (EFA), Nelly Maes, sent letter on July 18 to European Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn, demanding recognition of Macedonian minority in Bulgaria at state level and granting them support that they can benefit from all the rights guaranteed under the framework convention of minorities, OMO Ilinden - Pirin says in a press release on Monday.
"Our request therefore, to the European Commission, is to monitor, in the framework of the accession talks, the rights of all peaceful and democratic parties, associations or organisations who represent the people or specifically minority groups to register. They have the right to respect, to their own opinion and to gather peacefully. Most particularly we ask you to monitor the situation in the following weeks enabling the OMO Ilinden PIRIN party to register," the letter reads.
"Having been informed of the last judgement of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), I am happy to hear that the ban of this party will have to be lifted. As the ECHR declared (20.10.2005): The ECHR stated that: the Bulgarian government, even after a first judgement of this same court, failed to assure the right of association of the Omo Pirin," Maes says in the letter to Rehn.
"In Delchev on the 25th of June 2006, the members of Omo llinden Pirin elected a new leadership in order to re-register their party. This caused hysteria in the press and some officials thought it was necessary to threaten the collective group of Macedonians living in Bulgaria, using words as "ethnic group." The municipality adviser in Varna, Veselin Danov, said that "They have to be shot on the street," the deputies Boris Iachev and Krasimir Karakachanov called "that They have to be send straight into prison" and the mayor of Blagoevgrad, Lazar Prichkapov requested "all Macedonians to be expelled from Bulgaria," reads the letter.
Some parties denied the right to Omo Llinden Pirin to register although the highest EU Court has already declared twice that it is the parties right to do so. We believe that this climate of hatred is not beneficial to anyone and on the other side we sincerely believe that a swift recognition of the mentioned party could lead to more mutual respect in Bulgaria," the letter reads.

What are you going to do? Take over northern Greece? And if you are able to do that, how will explain to your future "visitros" and " tourists" the Greek inscriptions and legacy those ancient Macedonian sites so unmistakably present and then contrast all these to your cyrrilic alphabet and Bulgarian dialect?
See you when you'll be begging for NATO and EU membership.
The truth will shine

And if such art such as below, exist in today's Greek territory, then where is it in your Fyromian territory, assuming FYROM is a chunk of the greater Macedonia? Why do almost all these artifacts look so Greek and lie exclussively in Greek territory? What happenned and there are no such artifacts in Fyromian soil? Could it be that it/you were never Macedonian? ?57,71

An Israeli bomb destroyed a UN observer post on the border in southern Lebanon on Tuesday, killing four peacekeepers. UN chief Kofi Annan said Israel appeared to have struck the site deliberately.
The dead included observers from Canada, Austria, China and Finland, a senior Lebanese military official said, speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to release the information to the media.
The bomb made a direct hit on the building and shelter of the observer post in the town of Khiyam near the eastern end of the border with Israel, said Milos Struger, spokesman for the UN peacekeeping force in Lebanon known as UNIFIL.
A UN official in New York City said four people were confirmed killed. He spoke on condition of anonymity because the information had not been formally released. Annan said two UN military observers were killed with two more feared dead. He refused to identify the peacekeepers until next of kin have been notified.
Rescue workers were trying to clear the rubble but Israeli firing ``continued even during the rescue operation," Struger said.
As reports of the attack emerged, Annan rushed out of a hotel in Rome following a dinner with U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Saniora.
"I am shocked and deeply distressed by the apparently deliberate targeting by Israeli Defence Forces of a UN observer post in southern Lebanon," Annan said in a statement later.
Annan said in his statement the post had been there for a long time and was marked clearly, and was hit despite assurances from Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert that UN positions would not be attacked.
"I call on the government of Israel to conduct a full investigation into this very disturbing incident and demand that any further attack on UN positions and personnel must stop," Annan said in the statement.

Hezbollah Says Israeli Response a Surprise (crying monkeys)
by Danish Cartoon Commando (no login)
A senior Hezbollah official said Tuesday the guerrilla group did not expect Israel to react so strongly to its capture of two Israeli soldiers.
Mahmoud Komati, deputy chief of Hezbollah's political arm, also told The Associated Press in an interview that his group will not lay down arms.
"The truth is let me say this clearly we didn't even expect (this) response.... that (Israel) would exploit this operation for this big war against us," said Komati.
He said Hezbollah had expected "the usual, limited response" from Israel to the July 12 cross-border raid, in which three Israelis were killed.
In the past, he said, Israeli responses to Hezbollah actions included sending commandos into Lebanon to seize Hezbollah officials or briefly targeting specific Hezbollah strongholds.
He said the Shiite group had anticipated there would be negotiations on exchanging the Israeli soldiers for three Lebanese prisoners in Israeli jails, with Germany acting as a mediator as it did before.

Some reality about Macedonia Contrary to unreality of this forum
by Macedonia (no login)
Contrary to modern claims, Macedonia was never part of Balkan countries before 1913, and the ancient Macedonians were not regarded as ancient City states. Quite the opposite – the Macedonians conquered the city states for centuries until Rome conquered Macedonia in 168 BC.
