I have heard rumors since I started scanning around that the new writers due to the strike just have lost interest in writing for Shelle. And the characters.
So I hope it changes once the strike is over. If true.
But I can't help but hope like the stuff with Drake, this will backfire and Shelle will return. With Martha and Brandon in the roles. I hope this is not the show's way of ultimately recasting.
But I do hope, if this plays out and something doesn't change.
Shelle leave town together. With Claire. I definately could see them reuniting, deciding they need to work on their marriage outside of Salem for awhile. Away from the memories. Away from Phillip. Taking Claire and leaving before ultimately coming back.
I understand getting rid of Kate. Billie.
But Shelle? The next generation. They had so much potential, if they had just gotten out of the endless isolated triangle with Phillip and Chloe.
And if Belle is really a DiMera. And now they cut them.
I feel for Martha and Brandon. I hope it works out for them.
And just like what happened with Drake, Shelle ultimately comes back. Hopefully with Martha and Brandon in the roles.
Shelle might need a break. So much baggage the last few years.
But this is not the answer, when they have so much potential as a couple and as characters!
