As I see it the writing for John Black is one big ole mess. He's supposed to have been 'stripped' of his emotions but as I see it his coldness and smirks are perfect examples of emotions. Now it would make sense if him possessing these emotions was a signal that he can still feel them but its not. Its as if we, the viewers are only supposed to consider kindness and love emotions when there are far more many of which John has been showing. Him not liking how his family treats him and his perference for Claire is a perfect example of that. If he had no emotions it wouldn't make a lick of difference.
Marlena is going to get caught between Victor and NuJohn and maybe this will be the turning point for John. The question is,. will anyone care? I'm really curious to see how the ratings are this week as the vets have been front and center but I've seen a lot of discontent with the show so it will be interesting. I wonder if the ratings are down who will be blamed this time.
I meant to comment on this yesterday but simply didn't have the time, I found the scenes with Shawn and Bo, at least from reading prevuze, not near as bad as I thought. Shawn was not telling Bo to get better simply so he and Belle could go on their trip, it was about getting his father fighting again. Poor Shawn though cannot catch a break as some were so willing to assume how it was going to play out. Hmmmmmmmm.
I bought SOD but haven't had a chance to even read it. Maybe tonight before Lost is on.
