who watches for one couple. But their story was usually the one that kept me interested enough to pay attention to other things on the show. However, there was even a time (during the heyday of Shami) that even the hopes of Shelle moments wasn't enough because the rest of the show stunk as well. So I stopped watching then.
I look at what we have coming in the future and there is nothing there I care about. Right now I feel like the show is trying to recreate something that worked before or other places. Bring back characters that haven't been around for years or missed. Take storylines from other shows (*cough* GH *cough*). Put focus on a group of characters that were invented or reintroduced in the last 4 years where we have no history of them from the time they were babies to now as college students. There is just nothing that interests me to put time and energy to sit and watch, when I can take five minutes to read a daily summary and still know what is going on.
