I am more and more convinced that Corday is completely out of touch.  They were excellent in yesterday's show even though MM definately got the meatier material to work with.  Her reaction to John's condition was perfect and I absolutely adore the mother/daughter scenes when Marlena wiped the tear from Belle's cheek.  I think there is only one person who can outcry Deidre Hall and that is Martha Madison.

What I'm also confused by is that SHELLE are being written off when it was pretty obvious that they were clearly setting up a Phelle/Shloe storyline.  I'll even admit that Philip was pretty decent yesterday and sweet.  Too bad I cannot get over the way he's acted in the past.

Then there was ChloMe.  At least she is consistent when she essentially told Shawn he had to worry about himself with all of her talk about him getting caught, etc.  My gawd woman, his daughter is missing and you think he should worry if he'd get caught?  Now we know why Brady is still missing.  Hopefully he will see the light about his dear wife when he's found but I fear we will hear lots of drivel about how he thought of her every day.

Off to try and understand how Corday can dump the actors/characters that are so highly praised and adored.

about what his viewers want or which couples work. Its almost his way of saying Ha Ha I'm in control

we may be getting the last laugh, in an odd way if the show is not renewed or if the ratings continue not to really do much.  Yes they have inched up but not that much to show the networks that they have turned around and viewers are clammoring to come back.

There have been soooooo many decisions that have been made over the last several years that just defy logic. They make no sense and truly seem to go against what the viewing population wants to see. Viewers have made their wishes abundantly clear and yet the decisions that massacre the show continue to be made. It is hard to imagine how TIIC would truly think that any of these choices would "turn the show around." I really have started to ask myself what their agenda might possibly be b/c I just can't see how they could justify some of these decisions if they truly wanted to save the show.

What a sad, sad time for Days' viewers.

and they STILL don't get it.  Corday has shown us time and time again that he doesn't really know what the fans want.  Perfect example, firing Drake.  It didn't take a genius to figure out even before hand that that was going to be a bad idea.

believe it or not, I could see where firing a core character could be interpreted by TIIC as being a huge OMG storyline for viewers. I'm not saying I agree at all, but I could see where they arrived at the decision to do it. But things like hooking up Max and Stephanie which was totally rejected by fans before HS took over..... what do they do a couple of months later??? Try it again, b/c it was so successful the first time???? Or the idea that they fire Drake to a huge backlash from fans....so what do they do? Fire two more core characters!!!??? Or Phelle......they crashed and burned during their first run. What do they do???? They write Phil as an unforgivable monster and THEN try it again????

I just can't figure out how TIIC and I supposedly have the same agenda (wanting to see the show last!) and yet they continue to make decisions that can't possibly be popular among fans.
