That little girl is definately a pro as she was perfect.  I'm sure Drake took time with her and was also prepared for the unexpected but the two of them were perfect.  Yet another reason why Shelle should not be written out!  What are they smokin' out there?  Belle and Claire a hugely important part of who John was and is and to simply ship that off on a cruise is a slap to all.

I nearly fell off the sofa when Claire said 'that's a fact!'  All we needed was one raised brow and she would have been little John Black with pigtails.

Also loved Martha's dry delivery when she was dealing with her father.  Her lines were perfect.

Oddly I didn't mind Phloe either except some of the grunting when they were trying to lift that thing off his leg....a bit much.  I did expect Chloe to start in on how nobody could see her until her hiddeous scar healed then I realized that was anotehr storyline...........or was it?

Okay, Shawn knows his father is dying but they are having Shelle go off on a cruise????  Absolutely stupid.  Glad -Marlena found that handy dandy defib-thing-a-ma-bob so quickly.

I ff'd through most of the stuff in Salem but overall the show was good but not necessarily for the reasons I think it was meant to be.  I liked how Drake played John as being isolated but not.  I didn't like how nobody said 'nice job, thanks for keeping us alive.'  The guy earn his grownup juice just as much as Claire earned hers.

Friday from Soapnet and then the one on NBC.  Both were excellent but sad at the same time. I just can't imagine this show without Shawn and Belle.  As I watched Shawn try to help Hope with Bo, I wondered....... who will  Hope or Bo turn to now when they need something?  As children grow up it's often their turn to support and care for their parents.  With Bo being ill, this is the perfect time for Shawn to step into that role.  Same with Belle...... John is definitely not himself and Marlena is going to need support and love.  Who better to give it to her than her daughter.  I also think Claire could play a pivotal role in the healing of John Black.  TPTB didn't just miss the boat with this casting decision, they missed the whole damn lake!

Not having Shelle on during these storylines is proof that Corday and Higley haven't a friggin' clue.

getting rid of Shelle when their parents are involved in such big stories is like cutting off one of Bope's or J&M's limbs.  Its beyond logical or good writing.

I am going to have to disagree with all bo and hope need a storyline without shawn in it why cant all see that and that is why i am so glad that chelsea is going to be in bo illness storyline along with hope.and she is going to be the one that is going to be there for hope.

I just think that Bo and Shawn have such a special relationship because Bo was a single parent all those years when Hope was assumed dead that NOT having him there to SUPPORT his parents is wrong.  I'm glad that Chelsea is there buy why does it have to be one or the other?  Can't a parent love more than one child and can't more than one child love a parent?

As I said, I see this as an insult to the very premise of Days.

Uh, probably because Bo and Shawn have a strong bond. Bo raised Shawn by himself for many years. Shawn would never leave his dad during this time.

would never leave him when he is in this condition either.  Corday and Higley have no clue as to who these characters are anymore.

at the same time why should we ALL  have to see that Bo and Hope don't need Shawn in his storyline.  Kinda contradicted yourself there! 

that Shawn is Bo/Hope's child and that he cares about his parents? Is there some law that once you become a parent yourself you don't need to care about what happens to your parents. I guess I am also a bit confused on why it is okay that Chelsea is a part of this story but Shawn can't. He is just as much Bo's child as much as Chelsea is. BOTH Shawn and Chelsea should be a part of this and they could have even written a good story where Shawn and Chelsea grow closer together as siblings during this. They have had moments here and there, but these two have never completely embraced each other as siblings. This would have been a great minor story that fed off Bo's illiness.

Bope have had plenty of stories that Shawn-d isn't involved in much (Bo getting Gina out of Hope, the search for Georgia) but this illness shouldn't be one of them. Chelsea and Shawn-d can both be there for them. It actually bugs me that they are working so hard to get Stephanie and Chelsea interacting their parents more but not Shelle. (It just should be both it is good that Chelsea is but it makes Shawn-d look bad) That contradiction makes no sense to me. I hate what going away at this time with John's, Brady's, and Bo's situation does to Shelle.
