Bo and Shawn............musings inside..........

I gotta say I really enjoyed their talk yesterday.  I thought it was so natural that Bo wanted to know Shawn would be there for the family and Shawn didn't want to hear his father talking about not being there.  Loved how Shawn pulled out the stops although I admit I feel badly for Bo constantly having people hound him about this stuff.  The poor guy, maybe if he had a few minutes to himself he'd find the strength to fight.  I would imagine that the constant hovering by everyone is wearing on him.

Enough of Ava.  Let's just see who her Daddy is, set up his storyline with whoever and get it over with.  She's a nutcase that I don't really care about and the fact that she is going to kidnap Hope just has me rolling my eyes.  I can't figure out where this is going to lead, is Patch going to save her or will Bo have to get out of his recovery bed to go do it.........AGAIN???

I will admit that I've been wondering if Higley's plan is to get rid of the Brady family so she can have a show of her own creations.  Think about it, Bo's illness isn;t being cured, the operation could only be a stop gap measure.  Kayla could die in child birth so that we get a Steve and Hope pairing.  Even Max, with this talk about his father (could he be related to Ava?) could be a part of this plan.

Dr. Mcwhatshisname's tan is really too much.  So is his attitude.  Then again, so is Lexie and Kayla's.  They are professionals........hell they are doctors and can't go around crying all the time.  It doesn't instill much faith.

Off to meetings.  Thoughts and comments are welcome.

Those were some of the best scenes...

we had seen in a while. No big explosions or crashes. Just pure human emotions in the scenes in Bo's room. I thought the guys (Peter, Stephen and Brandon) all hit their scenes perfectly. I like when Shawn came out of the room and Hope was trying to get Shawn to say what Bo told him. They would cut to Steve sort of giving Shawn signals to not say anything. They were just those quick "shh" looks exchanged between them that showed they understood the other. I also liked Steve coming to Shawn's defense in saying that Bo was just making arrangements. Shawn was trying to be strong for his mother, but Steve knew what Bo had told Shawn and Shawn was having a hard time accepting it could be the end for his father.

I like how at the end of Shawn's conversation with Bo, he just said he was tired. So agree that he is probably tired of constantly being told to fight and doesn't want to let everyone down. But it was like with both Steve and Shawn, Bo was finally able to let his defenses down. To Mr. Reckell in these scenes.

Other than that, I have little interest in the show and have pretty much decided that once Martha/Brandon are gone, I will end up just being a reader of online summaries and spoilers.

I agree, there was just the right amount of emotion.......

on all parts.  Shawn didn't want to break down and was fighting it the entire time he was there with Bo.  Given the special relationship Bo and Shawn have I thought that BB and PR did an outstanding job.

I had my suspicions about that particular character simply because his and their scenes were so incredibly sweet last night. And that whole scene with Bernard was just perfection. I loved that Bernard understood Jin on a level despite his belief that there was a language barrier between them at first. Actually, I just love Bernard/Rose and Jin/Sun, period.

Did anyone else think it's quite strange that Hurley seems to have this sort of connection to the dead or "I see dead people" this season. He "spoke" with Charlie in the flash forward scenes, he could hear "Jacob" and was allowed to approach the cabin, and then he was with her(trying not to spoil, LOL)in the last scenes of the show. But then again, maybe it's just that Hurley is the kind of guy that you want around in good times and bad simply because he's a big teddy bear who makes people feel comfortable even when it seems he's not comfortable with himself.

All I know is that this is my favorite season thus far. Each episode just keeps your attention to the point where you're almost shocked when the requisite cliffhanger/WTH? moment arrives because you have to know what happens next.

Hurley is the pet of the writers.............

March 14 2008, 11:08 AM

in fact he was the first character cast, they knew they had the right guy.  I've read blogs/heard interviews that they try to work Hurley into as many episodes as they can.
