Soap Opera Weekly is reporting that Jason Cook is joining the cast of General Hospital as the new love interest for Maxie(Kirsten Storms) and that his character has a mysterious past. It states that his 1st airdate will be in June! Hope this is true because it will great to see these two togeter again! Oh,and in a bit of deja vu it stated that their characters 1st meeting will be in the hospital(much like Shawn and Belle).

When is their first airdate? Also, what is the overall opinion on GH?

I want to start loving soap operas again so much! Please say that I can get hooked on General Hospital. I've never been able to stray from Days (and a lot of the reason is because of loyalty), but I'm struggling to watch what little I am watching right now. I want to love the GENRE again, you know?

It's alright...

I know the only reason I usually watch every show is because my DVR records it. There are some good things and there are bad things. I do enjoy it more than Days. Some of the overall storylines stink, but the day to day shows are good. So I might not like where stories are heading, but there are things in each episode I find entertaining.

NOW, if you are looking for a good soap, might I recommend One Life To Live. I just started watching that a couple of weeks ago and just love it. The regular writer is back from the strike an the show is very entertaining. I don't know all of the character histories, etc. But I am definitely entertained by that show.

Thanks to Jessica at Lookout Point for banners.

You made a good point about the day-to-day basis....

I had been around 8 to 9 episodes behind on my DVR consistently and have finally caught up. When you can relax and watch and not feel rushed to catch up, watching day-to-day Days isn't terrible, but it's not something I'm hanging onto the edge of my seat to watch. Used to if there were characters I knew would be on, I couldn't miss! (Shawn and Belle, Jack and Jennifer, sometimes Bo and Hope....)

I agree about OLTL (m)

I started watching it this past summer and became hooked! During the writer's strike, it got a bit stale, but the head writer's stuff started airing again this week and the shows are GREAT (IMO)!

GH is a pretty good show. I was addicted to it back when Jonathan Jackson played Lucky. When JJ left, I stopped watching it daily, but watch it from time to time. I do know that many people were liking the possible relationship between Maxie and Spinelli and are upset that Maxie is going to be paired with Jason's character (some of these upset fand were die hard fans of JC & KS's Shelle).

I DVR OLTL everyday. My job allows to be at home over the summer, so I will be sure to check out GH daily when Jason starts. If I enjoy it, when I return to work in the fall, I will be DVRing GH too!

I am a little concerned. I adored JC & KS as Shelle and thought they had awesome chemistry. I'm not sure I will be able to enjoy them together playing other characters. I'll just have to watch and see.

Honestly, I am not crazy about it...

Right now Iam LOVING Maxie and Spinelli together. It is really the only GH SL I am interested in right now. I really don't want ta new character coming in and screwing it up when things are just getting started for "The Jackel" and "Maxinista"
