I have been meaning to post this for awhile, and finally here I am. I was fortunate enough to use the week my students had off for spring break to get out to CA to visit my cousin and her family! She lives in Monterry, but she was nice enough to drive me down to see LA for a couple of days. While there we got to tour NBC Studios!
It was fantastic! We took pictures of Salem Place, but they of course won't let you take pictures inside. It's amazing. They have saved every single set, carpet, etc. they have ever used on Days in case they ever have to go back and film a flashback scene. It was so cool! We got to look inside one of the stages and see the sets set up for the next day! Drake and Dee were filming on the set next to us, but neither came out so we didn't get to see them in person! What was crazy is that I actually got to watch Days at NBC Studios the very last day that Shelle were on. It was cool, but incredibly sad. I would like to post the pictures here, but I guess that my picture sizes are too large to upload to my N54 account so unless someone else know how I can upload pictures I may not get to share, but I would love to!
Also, for all you American Idol lovers.....my cousin and I got to watch a taping of Idol Rewind that's on TVGuide Channel because my cousin's friend is the executive producer of the show. We met Justin Guarini and he was very sweet and nice to us! We also met Jason Castro totally by accident. We were shopping, I said to my cousin about the guy in front of us..."It's Jason Castro", and it really was! He was very sweet, kinda shy, but let us take our picture with him. I would love to post that as well! Anyway, I just wanted to share!
