It is a pain. Unfortunatly there is no easy way to make it keep forms.
If you are using fire fox you could open the no-ads in another tab. It should reutrn whatever the blackhole is. Looking at the code it does that. So I am unsure why you are seeing an error. Have you modified the script in any way? Maybe you are getting a javascript error in that path?
Also as for the error page. You need some sort of program that 'blackholes' the data. There are several options for blackhole on the front page. I have in the past used the perl script. It works decently. You can do all of this without having admin rights. You just need to run that program in the shell you are in.
