Why is it that Internet Explorer doesn't support timeRange() inside the FindProxyForURL call? For the life of my, I could swear this worked at one time and suddenly stopped working; but as I try to research the problem I can't find a single mention of this function in any Microsoft docs. All calls to timeRange() in IE, no matter how many or what arguments you pass, all return "undefined".

Netscape and Firefox docs talk about and support this function. Am I losing my mind? Did IE never support timeRange()?

I can appreciate that maybe it won't work perfectly based on the discussions about how to make IE not cache the result of the proxy calculation, but I can't believe it just flat out doesn't work.

Is there some other way to get a concept of the time of day in Internet Explorer's proxy calculator?
