I have the PAC file on a local drive; it doesn't seem to work with either the alert or prompt javascript commands (among others). All I can do is assign values to variables (both global and local) and return a proxy path (both DIRECT and the blackhole value work), and then after deleting all other commands and comments.
I want to alter John's PAC to have a password prompt for each URL. Can't do this without the prompt command.
Has anyone used John's PAC with Safari? Do most javascript commands work?
