Guys this is realy bad! I would have sent it earlier but I havent had time. My cousin got badly scratched on the arm by a small chupa today. She said she was walkin by a scool park with a small patch of woods by it. Then she heard a strange noise that she thought had come from a cat. When she checked out a tree with a hole under it she heard the noise again. She stuck her arm in the hole to see what it was. Then she said she felt horrible sharp pain in her arm and a small creature she said looked like a demonic hairless creature with spikes running down it's back start shredding up her arm with its claws. She ran away and so did the thing. Then she went straight to the hospital. The pictures should be on the pictures page soon.

Ok. I occassionally read over the sightings on your site and thought
there were some potentially misleading comments in Daryl's statement.
If you have a chance to talk with him again please ask him any or all of
these questions. (Or if you prefer, give him my Yahoo Messenger ID:
mokuji_1974, I'd be more than happy to ask him these questions myself if
you decide not to.)

I understand that you need stories of possible chupacabra sightings or
incidents, but isn't showing a picture and having a 'first hand
account' with no real scientific investigation / questioning kind of
misleading to those people that actually believe chupacabras exist? I would
think that after posting the "Sighting that goes in the Solved Catagory"
these questions might go a long way to show this 'sighting' as a farce.

1.) If the creature scratched him as it sped past him in a 'blaze of
glory' wouldn't the 'scratch' be horizontal and not vertical? A
vertical wound would mean that it had to stop, scratch him, then run away.)

2.) Looking at the picture, the wound looks like it might be (at
least) 3-4 days old. I'm basing that assumption on the fact that it looks
like the inside of the wound looks to be scabbed over. If this is the
fact, then when did his dad (the paramedic) stitch it up?

3.) If it's 'sharp claws and tail' brushed past his leg as it ran past
him, and one claw created a wound like that, wouldn't there be (at the
very least) scratches from the other claws? Or did it only have one
claw?

4.) If you were to look at pictures of any type of slashing wound, you
would see it normally tears the skin in a ragged pattern. The more
sharp (and thin) the object is that creates the wound, the more narrow the
wound will be. The wound in the picture is approximately 1 - 1.5
inches in width, 3 - 4 inches long, and about a half inch in depth. That
being said, it is very unlikely that a creature with sharp claws would
have made this wound. (If it were a creature, the claw would have been
at least an inch, maybe even 2 inches wide.)

After examining the reported evidence, it is more likely that when he
ran to the barn, he raked his leg over a sharp piece of semi-pointed
metal, then made up this whole 'chupacabra' story for a few minutes of
'fame'.
