I live in Oklahoma. I was visiting my father in SE Oklahoma in a town named frogsville <---no kidding.I was young when I saw what I saw. I dismissed it as a mangy dog but it had allways been in the back of my mind. I was fishing all day at a little farm pond catching some fish too. It was getting late and the fish Bass stoped bitting so I was rigging my fishing pole for catfish when I heard a noise over the damm of the pond. It was getting dark and I lit the lantern and casted my pole. Well the noise came back and it was darker now and it kinda frightened me so I turned up the lantern and got out my flash light. It came over the damm and I could see its eyes glowing in the light from the lantern Thought it was a dog a mangy dog It kinda looked like a hyena only much smaller I had a 22 pistol not much more than a snake shooter you know and I dont like to kill things but it seemed to be snarling or its teeth were out anyway huge K9's so I thought. Well it advanced at me and I fired in the direction of it not knowing if I hit it or not because it was kinda dark even in the glow of the lantern. So anyway it ran off but more like jumped off in bounds of over ten feet it was fast and gone. I left all my stuff there and got on my dads fourwheeler and halled ass back to the house. Well there had been some baby calfs and a few goats killed there in the last few years not a town where that is the lively hood of the folks it was just strange the way they had died puncture wounds to the neck and all blood gone. Well the killings stoped after the night that I encountered this thing. I went back about a week later well I went back the next day and got my stuff but a week later I was out just rideing the fourwheeler when I smeeled something horid I looked around and found a rotting monster of a thing untouched by normal scavengers and suck but blotted and decomposing none the less I thought it was a dog so I left it there but in hind sight I remember its teeth and its rear legs seemed very unlike a dog well really the whole thing seemed nothing like a dog but I was young then and did not know thought it was decomposed bad or something. That was fifteen years ago and I still remember the fear it impossed on me with its snarling gaze. I think I will go back and see if I can find a skeleton or something.

the reason no one respanded to ur amazing story is because we don't care at all. Most of us have heard enough stories all ready. unless ur story is in any way different from all the other stories, which it is not, don't bother telling it. Get some proof or something and stop waisting are time. Not that we have lives because we do come to a chupacabra website but we really don't care.

So you were thinking about it all day and it happened as a mirage and you probably shot at either nothing or a coyote.Its just like being in the desert when your brain thinks to much on food and water then all a sudden you see a restaurant a block from you and when you get there it disappears.bear that in mind next time but I must say it is an entertaining story!

Bobcat they like to roll in mud to cool off and have huge k9's it was dark and any animals eyes glow.
litarley . my guess is bobcat , and a chuba wouldn't be afraid of you . it would have attacked even with your p shooter .
