- In the nearly 3 years SHIMMER's been in operation, they've received many inquiries from women who aspire to be professional wrestlers, asking if they operate their own training program & wrestling school. They're pleased to announce that the 1st ever SHIMMER training course will be starting October 27th with SHIMMER Athlete & Trainer, DAIZEE HAZE. This is a 6-month course & there'll be a minimum of 8 classes a month. Training will be Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday evenings. The school's located @ the Ring of Honor Wrestling facility in Bristol, Pennsylvania (close to I-95 & the Pennsylvania turnpike) & includes a full-size ring, weight-lifting equipment, a video library & other resources. This course's for people with previous wrestling experience, to no wrestling experience @ all & will help you to learn everything you need to know, in order to start your wrestling career. Please be aware, there are NO GUARANTEES! Each student's individual & the length of their training's different. Some students may advance more rapidly than others, some will advance more slowly. Some of the things your training will cover include: Emphasis on the fundamentals. . . Drills. . . Conditioning & weight-training. . . Ring psychology. . . Development of timing & positioning. . . Continuous valuation. . . Advice on character development. . . Assistance with promos. . . Etiquette. . . SAFETY. The cost for the SHIMMER course's as follows: $750 downpayment on the 1st day of class, $300 per month starting with the 2nd month. Training's expected to be a 6-month program, so the total cost will be $2250. If you'd like to pay for the entire course on the 1st day of training, you'll receive a discounted price of $2000. The only paperwork required is a liability waiver you'll have to sign on the day you start -- no Contracts. - Trish Stratus is featured in Burger King's new promotional campaign for the Steakhouse Burger that's running here in Canada. The former WWE Women's Champion wrote a haiku regarding meat: "Do yoga, eat meat; Stratusfaction guaranteed; Do the body good." The restaurant chain's inviting people to submit their own haikus. - Former WWE Global Licensing Coordinator Fara D'Angelo has filed a sexual harassment suit against WWE. D'Angelo worked for the company from April 2004 through May 2006 & alleged that Senior Director of International Consumer Products Alex Romer harassed her. In the suit filed, she said that Romer immediately began harassing her & looking for a relationship -- despite his being married -- via late night phone calls & text messages. She also accuses Alex of making an advance to her while another WWE employee was present, who advised her to "switch jobs". She went to Senior Director of Quality Assurance Mike Archer, who "expressed concern & sympathy" but "he didn't offer any help with the harassment she was reporting to him." Archer told her to "look for a new job.” All pleadings in the case are due by December 8th & that Discovery in the suit's completed by April 10th, 2009.
