- Newfoundland TNA fans!! Tired of not being able to see pay-per-views @ a local establishment? Same here! So that's why I've set up a MySpace page to help get our message across! As per instructions on http://www.tnawrestling.com, if fans want to promote TNA in their local area, they can set up a "TNA U" page on MySpace & get other fans from their area to pitch in to help get the word out locally about the great wrestling action of Total NonStop Action! So if you wanna get TNA Wrestling pay-per-views into local bars around St. John's, or even have a dream of even the slimmest chance @ getting a house show here in the unforeseeable future, then add http://www.myspace.com/tnanewf as a friend & pledge your support!
- TNA Wrestling's holding a Black Friday sale on http://www.ShopTNA.com starting on Thanksgiving, with 50-75% off of nearly 100 merchandise items. Merchandise which will be on sale include DVDs, t-shirts, winter gear, hats & more, all discounted for TNA fans.
- The Main Event Mafia members are said to be excited about their new angle & the crowd response. TNA Heavyweight Champion Sting hasn't been involved in the beatdowns for 2 reasons. The creative team wanted to portray him as the boss in movie "The Godfather" where he watches his men do the dirty work. The 2nd reason's if the decision were made for him to leave the group, then they could use his non-participation in the beatdowns as a reason he was never fully committed. Meanwhile, the TNA Originals, the group feuding with the M~E~M, were given a new name @ this weeks TV tapings. Officials feel the group needs a new name, since most of the members weren't originals. Hey, just call them what I've been calling them, the Pound & Ground Posse!
- Producers of the upcoming Mick Foley sitcom have dropped the show's original title, "Hey Dude" & rechristened the project "Have a Nice Day" for Foley's best-selling autobiography. Producers say the original title tested poorly among focus groups & courted confusion with a decade-old Nickelodeon show of the same name. Christy Canyon, Foley's favourite old-school adult star, has signed on as a cast member & will play Mick's next-door neighbour. "I love Mick Foley. We all love Mick @ Playboy Radio & his wife too. . . they're truly 2 of the best people I know. Mick & I became fast friends when we met a few years back @ a book signing here in Hollywood, where we were both promoting books @ the time. I can't wait to work with him on 'Have a Nice Day.'" Former TNA booker Scott D'Amore will serve as 1 of the producers.
- In other Hardcore Legend news, Mick Foley's posted a new blog on his MySpace page ~ http://www.myspace.com/officialmickfoley ~ talking about what he's been up to as of late. He recently returned home from the West African country of Sierra Leone & said it was 1 of the best experiences of his life. He also talks about the passing of Special Delivery Jones, Christmas, an upcoming appearance & more. Regarding TNA, Foley wrote: "So many people I run into seem to feel that TNA's really coming along. I really couldn't be happier there. I see so much potential for big things & am glad to be in the middle of it. I brought my family to Florida for the last PPV & iMPACT! shows. Mickey said his favourite person there was "Germy", better known to most of us as Jeremy Borash or J.B. "Germy", you see, gave Mickey an avenue to showcase his unique musical skills. Stay tuned to TNA's 'Spin Cycle' to see the Foleys welcome in the Holiday Season."
- Much like WWE in the past month, TNA also is loosening its budget belt, with talk of possible roster cuts. The company recently released road agents Pat Kinney (aka Simon Diamond) & Glenn Gilberti (aka Disco Inferno).
- In recent weeks there's been talk among TNA officials about parting ways with some of the undercard wrestlers not being used. Since September or so, TNA hasn't felt the need to use every1 @ every set of tapings, so a lot of talents are going unused. There's been talk on this for a while, but discussions have increased lately, reports http://www.PWInsider.com Basically, the reason why TNA hardly ever fires people outright WWE-style is because Jeff Jarrett & Dixie Carter have soft spots & really don't like firing people. So far this year, with the exception of Pat Kenney & Glen Gilberti {although their contracts were up}, no body's been outright fired. Every1 that left, either left on their own accord, or their contracts were up, or they were on a pay-per-appearance deal & were no longer being used. They've yet to fire somebody in the middle of a contract {Karen Angle's status with TNA still remains unclear}
