- On February 1st, Wrestlers Rescue will begin a campaign to raise approximately $20,000 US for their mutual friend, Steve Williams, who underwent throat cancer surgery in 2004 & was declared cancer-free in 2005. During the surgery to remove the cancer & to reconstruct his throat, the doctors inserted a unit called a Stoma. This unit requires him to place his thumb over the hole in the stoma when he wishes to communicate. As science has progressed, it now leaves Steve eligible to obtain a hands-free device. As you can only imagine, this would provide a more convenient & healthier way of life for him. What they're asking from you, the fans, is help with this campaign. They're asking for a donation of memorabilia to be auctioned off to raise the monies needed for this procedure. His insurance only covers the doctor visits prior to the surgery & only the actual surgery. It doesn't cover the mechanism or the after care. All monies raised will be sent directly from their foundation, to the doctor doing the procedure. They'd like to thank you in advance for your time & contributions. They're greatly appreciated. Your kindness will go a long way in helping Steve live a better quality of life. For more information, check out http://wrestlersrescue.org/

- THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE WAS POSTED IN A MYSPACE BULLETIN & BLOG DIRECTLY FROM THE OFFICES OF PRO WRESTLING NEXUS (PWN) AS OPF THURSDAY EVENING, JANUARY THE 28TH: "Ladies & gentlemen, we'd like to apologize, as we have had an incredible setback today, as the VFW (Veterans Of Foreign Wars) Hall that was housing the show's holding us up for an additional $400, in addition to the amount that we paid to secure the building. We spent the entire afternoon in Gulfport, Mississippi with the man that runs the building,'discussing' the matter. Legal action will be required to resolve this problem. We've made several attempts to find a new venue. However, there's nothing free for this weekend, as there are parades throughout the Mississippi Gulf Coast. We're in the process of securing another venue. Unfortunately, it won't be for this Saturday, January 31st. We apologize for any & all inconvenience this will cause & for how unprofessional this makes us look. When we do secure a new date & location, it'll be announced on here. Thank you for your understanding on this matter & we look forward to bringing the Gulf Coast the future of professional wrestling."
