Betty's Vitamin Routine

No score for this post
October 21 2002, 8:42 PM

I had began my vitamin routine after reading about Bargello's routine at LHL back in March 2001.
Before that I had taken a B Complex, Vit E, Folic Acid, and a Herb Multi which I began in Fall 1999.

After a year and a half at the hair boards I have come up with a routine that works very well for me.

*Morning or Afternoon
1 Country Life Hair Maximized
1 Natrol Multi (I rotate the Women's Multi & Prenatal every 45 days)
1 Vitamin World Brewer's Yeast 500mg
1 Vita Smart Flax Oil Gel 1000mg
1 Members Mark MSM 1000mg
1 Earthrise Chollera
1 Vitamin World Ester C with bioflavonoids 500mg

*Evening
1 Country Life Hair Maximized
1 Natrol Multi (I rotate the Women's Multi & Prenatal every 45 days)
1 Country Life Super Biotin
1 Vitamin World Brewer's Yeast 5000mg
1 Earthrise Chollera (only when I feel I need to take extra)
1 Members Mark MSM 1000mg
1 Vitamin World Silica Complex
1 Vitamin World Ester C with bioflavonoids 500mg

*Protein Drink
Pro Complex Chocolate Powder
I had used the Pro Complex protein drink for the first time this Spring/Summer It seemed to really kick start some extra growth (3/4 - 1 compared to my ave of 1/2 - 3/4)
I can tell a difference in my hair without it.

*Supplements I have used and like:
Dr. Christopher's VitalHerb Multi
Vitamin World Biotin 1000mcg
Vita Smart Evening Primrose Oil
Natrol MSM with Glucosamine
Vitamin World Soy Protein Powder

*Some sites I like to buy from
Webvitamins.com
Vitaminshoppe.com

I wish to also thank Regular Jade for her vitamin brand information. I have learned a lot from her about which brands are good and which are just fillers. Of course there are a lot of others who offered their wonderful supplement info too, thanks.

My hair is not the only thing that has improved with my supplements. My nails are long and strong and I feel healthy and energetic.

I ordered it last Thurday (been out since July) and got it Monday
It is $26.00 for 2.2lbs. I take on full scoop instead of 2.
It is the same protein drink that ol' LHL regular Bargello used.

You can call, money order/check, or order via the internet at http://www.vitaminshoppe.com

Hope this helps

I went to Vitamin shoppe this morning and I cannot find that darn powder. Is it a soy protein, rice protein, etc? Who is it made by? I went through every one of them and couldn't find it. (I know, I know, if it had teeth it would have bit me. Middle age you know.)LOL

Question about vitamin A

No score for this post
October 23 2002, 11:30 AM

I got these vitamins at TOPS grocery store last week. I had run out of my hair vitamins so I found these. They are called advanced formula, super womens multi-vitamin, multi-mineral with herbs. By Healthy ideas. Anyway, it says to take two a day.The vitamin A is 10,000 IU's per serving. (50% as beta carotene). Which is 200% the daily value. I've only been taking 1 a day since I'm not sure about the vitamin A. Isn't all this Vitamin A bad? I know it can do damage to the liver(?) if taken in too high a form.
MOst of the ingredients are comparable to hair vitamins.
