Hi, thank you for reading this.So sorry if its long. My DOB is 6/10/1987. I have dark hair and light eyes.(if that helps any) I hope this doesn't sound petty or stupid.Lately I have had alot of problems and stress in my life. One of them was that I have had some legal problems that involved me doing some very stupid things on New Years Eve this year. Besides the legal part of my problem, I have also had some social problems. There are rumors and stories that aren't entirely true going around and someone that I really didnt want to hear them did.(an exboyfriend) Now he is saying that I lied and that he can't trust me anymore. I feel really awful about the whole sitution and really dont know if there is anything that I can do or say to gain his trust back. I care about this person and I used to think the feeling may be mutual but I haven't been so sure about that lately. I don't know if I should keep trying to get us to become closer or if I should just give up on the relationship. That is something I really don't want to do. But I don't really know what would be best. If you have any advise that may help, thank you very much.

Hi. The first thing I can say is that if there is a chance for this relationship, it depends on both of you. On your end you want to try. On his end he is hurt and wants to give up. There may be a chance for this to change if he is willing to trust you again, but not otherwise. Try writing him a sincere letter. Not excusing what you did or didn't do, but explain the truth to him, about what you feel for him, about what happened, and tell him that if he is willing to have a relationship, you are. It takes two to have a relationship, and relationships mean putting yourself out there. There is always a chance that someone or both people will get hurt, but when you care, it's a risk you are willing to take. If he rejects the offer, let it go. Do not absorb it, and do not feel like it was your fault and you were not worthy. You are worthy. Everyone makes stupid mistakes. Everyone. If you are open and honest with him and with yourself, that is all you can do. If he holds a grudge over something you are already sorry about and or something that he thinks happened that didn't, then he needs to grow. Don't be afraid. Because not knowing is worse.
