Has anybody had experience with Caran D'Ache pens ??
I have had Mont Blanc's traditionally but have heard they have had recent problems with quality control & that service backup is not without problems.
A visit to my local pen specialist resulted in my acquiring a Caran D'Ache rollerball upon recommendation by the dealer.
They are made in geneva ( like my patek ) so instant kudos..the pen has a solid feel & the rollerball action is on par with better quality fountain pens.
The dealer told me that this brand is a ' quiet achiever ' , prefering to expend the bulk of their budget on quality workmanship rather than big advertising programs..at this stage I'd have to say they are excellent value for money & I'm very happy with my purchase..another example of fastidious Swiss engineering !
