I took delivery of my beautiful new Nakaya back in July. My compliments to the people of Nakaya for working with me over the Internet to select the right nib and the design of the Kanji characters on the barrel. I really want to love this pen.
From the beginning, I had problems with the ink flow suddenly stopping. I met the Nakaya craftsment at the Washington DC Pen Show in August, and hey made some adjustments to the nib, but the problem persisted. I tried cleaning, ink changes, etc but with no luck. When the pen stops writing during important meetings, then something has to be done.
I've read a few comments on Pentrace by other Nakaya owners who noted the same problem. One noted a comment by Richard Binder who called it a feed tube issue. I communicated this problem to Nakaya on Friday, and they gave me full instructions for sending it back to them. Again, I really want to love this pen, and hopefully I will.
