. . .I must admit the clip took a little getting used to . I did finally find myself liking it quite a bit though- less for the echoing of the Breguet watch hands as for the more subtle echoing of the shape of the nib. All in all I think I would have been marginally happier with a more gracile clip, but the overall effect was still quite pleasing. Clips, you know, they can really make or break a pen. There is a tendency for manufacturers to go a little overboard, IMHO in clip design, especially in limited editions, because it's the one part of the pen that can really be sculpturally articulated with maximum disregard for functionality. In this respect I think Montres Breguet deserves credit for having shown relative restraint . I mean, have you seen the Montegrappa Aphrodite? It's a gorgeous pen in many regards, don't get me wrong, but no one would ever accuse it of being restrained.
