I saw this pen in shop which is almost the same as the original Blue Ocean released in 1993 but smaller. The price is somewhat between the M600 and M800. Is it a LE? I cannot find any info about this pen in Pelikan¡¦s web site. Anyone have information on this?
It could be the M600 limited edition

Pelikan released an M600 transparent blue edition of a FP and BP some years back, apparently 2000 pieces (sets?) for the Asian market only. It was in the old M600 size, identical in dimensions to the present M400.
Thanks for you info¡K are they good for daily use?

I believe that all Demonstrators are good collectable items, but are they also good as day-to-day workhorses? Since I trust all of them are made of plastics. But they are truly beautiful.
Blue M600 demonstradeor was

reportedly made for Sony corporation and was distributed in Asia. You can setill find some of them on eBary and some of the web retailers in the US. I belive that the set consists of FP and BP and the prices were not htat bad either. Standard Pelikan M600 pens are excellent fountain pens and so are their demonstrator fountain pens. If you wish to use this set daily, you should not worry at all. You'll enjoy it.

Yes, the price is very reasonable compare with the original Blue Ocean. The two pens are almost the same except that it¡¦s a bit smaller and the nib is 14K. I like blue pens and are planning to buy an Athens, now I may change my mind. Although I cannot deny that Athens is a very beautiful pen.
Overall M800 pens are much

better pens than M600. i have both series and I like both. I find the size of M600 to be much nicer and more convenient but M800s have much, much better nibs, larger ink-tank and brass piston filler, which is by the way exceptionally smooth. The sad thing is that M800 series doesn't come in so many nice variations as M600 does. I would really like to see both M600 and M800 in tortoisshell finish.
Just like 146 and 149...

although they are similar, 149 is much better built. However, the Cities and the other variations of M600 are really attractive. How a poor man is I with limited budget granted by my financial controller (my wife). :^(
Anyway, thanks for your advice.
