Today, when I came back from a trip to Tokyo, a package from Nakaya had ben waiting for me. Beautfully packed and wrapped, I let my 1 year old son open the box. Anyway, it is his first birthday present, although it arrived almost 1 month after his actual birthday. I ordered Wajima-nuri Aka Tamenuri Aka (long) for him. The red urushi is phantastic and I have maki-e naming of his chinese name on the barrel. I promised my son to use this pen only to write on his diary. Hope one day he will continue his father's hobby and appreciate the beauty of his first birthday present. I tried to write several pages already. My first impression of its nib is excellent. Thanks for sharing the joy with me.
