I just saw this jewel - I hesitate to call this a workpiece for writing! - in a local shop:

This pen was issued by Montblanc to celebrate the founder of the famous Salzburg Festival, and also to support the so-called "Young Directors Project", an MB-sponosred competition for young theatre directors and their ensembles, which takes place during the annual Salzburg Festival.

The edition features a body made from Meissen porcelain, handpainted with scenes from Mozart operas. The medaillon on the cap is a golden relief on porcelein, with a border made up from diamonds and rubies. Variants have other gemstones matching the primary colour of the painting here.

Of course, price is breathtaking (14,150.00 Euros), but so is the pen.

Regards,
Marcus

While my familiy was waiting outside I dropped into the MB boutique. It immediately caught my eye as it is not listed in the official catalogue,
but did not dare to ask for the price - glad I did'nt,14k would have made me quite dizzy.

cheers,
Lutz
