I am interested in this pen in tortoise and am looking for opinions/experiences with the 1930 Extra in RB and FP.
I think it's a beautiful pen but not sure how it would perform.
Thank you.

I have had several of the MG Extra and they are wonderful.....

pens, but this does not mean they are for you. They do have metal nib sections which some people do not like. They are relatively short, thick and heavy so make sure they are right for you. My biggest gripe is that it takes about 4 or 4.5 turns to uncap the pen. The nib is, IMHO, somewhat soft. I would not describe it as flexible in the vintage sense, but that is just my opinion. The price of these pens has skyrocketed so I would be sure to check out some of the other modern Italian celluloid pens.

Thanks for your input, Don...

I would likely choose the rollerball as I would use it for work daily.
I think it is a beautiful pen. I was also looking at the Omas Arte Italiana Arco-celluloid.
Any experience with this one?

Are you refering to the new style Omas Arco or the old style...;.

I have had both and prefer the newer one because of the size. I do not have an opinion about the roller ball pens because I have never used an Omas rb/bp except my white 360.
