Purchasing a Montblanc pen is an experience. Go to a reputable pen dealer where they have nibs of different sizes so you can test-drive each different nib so you can decide what nib width you prefer.

Most people like Montblanc's Fine, because Montblanc's fine is actually a medium in other brands. Personally, I use a Montblanc fine and I used to alternate between the Fine and the Extra-fine (for Chinese characters).
