After looking many times...

it is still stunning. Just simple elegance.

Congrats Richard on the full set! Glad to see beautiful gold-fish converter too.
And the Nakaya has some good company too.

Your pics are well-taken, showing the transparency of the urushi.
Try taking again with same setting (a little sharper focusing) in 6 to 9 months time, the aka-tamenuri may vary in shades.

Since you've the pen stand, did you not consider not getting without the clip?

I did not as I would like to carry mine around happy.gif

Want another one

March 9 2010, 2:17 PM

Thanks for the kind words and I'm glad you liked the pictures. They were a bit rushed one morning just so I could post something and I have since re shot them. I am looking forward to seeing the natural coat of urushi fading a bit. One of the reasons I wanted this pen.
And I knew the clip was not really needed as the length of it will not really allow me to carry it around very much, but I really did want the long version of the pen and I thought the clip may come in handy.
However, I now have a reason to order a portable model for my second Nakaya!

If you have the time, please post your re-shot pics.
