Thanks for the photo-tour

Liling,

What were you doing in Bangladesh......I mean.....apart from taking photos of the visit.

Was it business or pleasure?

With all the recent scares about influenza, many business people are travelling only if absolutely necessary.  Company rules....

Regards,

MTF

Hie Melvyn..

I had nothing exciting planned over the Labour Day weekend. And i have not been to any "new" countries this year.. so i decided to gobble half a bottle of multivitamins and hop on to the next plan to Dhaka...

I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the Dhaka-ians are really friendly and eager to pose for us foreign looking people. Tourism is not a big thing in Bangladesh. In fact, almost non-existent from what i saw ( unlike India, the locals and foreigners pay the same to enter places of interest ).

Am glad i made the trip and i'm looking forward to my next getaway which starts next week. Shanghai.. here i come !

You must be fully immunised

LiL,

You must be fully vaccinated and immunised to be able to just "grab some multivitamins and fly to Dhaka for a weekend" !

I used to work in infectious diseases and company policy was to cover me for everything, in case of such emergency travel.  But for fun?!  I don't know if I would keep up the prophylaxis programme.  happy.gif

Keep us posted about Shanghai.

Regards, MTF

Yes i did.. most of the swanky places are in Gulshan which is the Embassy area of Dhaka.. but these places are not as swanky as those you might find in big cities like Shanghai, Tokyo and Kuala Lumpur happy.gif
