Response to Definitely the prettiest Aston Martin since the Vanquish...
As Ed mentioned, I also had some extended time in the driver's seat of the Virage Volante, and also had a chance to talk to a few people about the car. Interesting that you mentioned the Vanquish (which iteration?) - one of the people I spoke to about the Virage commented he liked it far more than the Vanquish, the Vanquish pushing the flared fenders bulging curves design school too much, straying from the classical elegance of Aston Martin designs.
I lean in agreement to many of your points of view about the Virage design itself. It just seems to work, though if I had to find a weakness, it is in the rather generic (too reminiscent of current Jaguars, which is not such a bad thing, but ironically indicates a corporate bloodline sharing that is no longer there, and probabaly was already split when the Virage was on the drawing board) rear end...
