It might be fun to run our own caravan from LA.

Some pics from the event....

Thanks to the kindness of a fellow Purist who lent me a cool 3-series E90 Turbo charged BMW 35, I got the chance to attend! happy.gif

They had over 3,000+ BMW from all California and Nevada show up.

The fellow Purist drove his new toy, a DINAN 5!

Lots of fans of the DINAN brand parts in the bimmerfest

I hope to have more pics soon!

Large BMW turnout and nice venue

Nice pics DRMW.

The BMW caravan from North Hollywood was crazy. I was really surprised to see them actually using their cars to block off oncoming traffic to lead the caravan:

And as we approached the Polo field there was a long line of BMW's waiting to exit the freeway:

CHP was everywhere:

Overall it was a fun event however I thought it was strange that we didn't see a single Z8. There were plenty of M3 and 3 series cars.

Does anyone have pics of the BMW 507? It was cool to see such a rare car.

Regards,

Thanks, DRMW, Ed-209. I have mixed feelings...

That thuggish unofficial "blocking off" of the street to allow the cars to exit the parking lot in a continuous line was really uncool; if they wanted to allow a smooth exit from the parking lot, they should have applied for a permit and given up the idea if not approved.

Selfish and self centered, end of story.

On the other hand, seeing so many Bimmers in and around on the freeway was very cool; it was like going to sleep after OD'ing on pain killer and dreaming about waking up in a psychodelic BMW colored world!

happy.gif

Also, CHP TARGETING BMW's wasn't cool either; there were plenty of other violators who deserved to be ticketed, who weren't. Seeing CHP cruiser after CHP cruiser pulled over on the side with BMW in front or behind (I think I saw 20 such scenes between LA and SB?!?) was tragi-comic.

Hey, I really like the color of the lead car (just the rear quarter visible) in your shot of the exit!

So I got to drive the DINAN 5 last night...

May 10 2009, 3:42 PM

So after our PuristSPro GTG in Los Angeles, I was given the keys to take the new Dinan 5 for a extensive test drive. happy.gif I'm pleased to report that I'm very impressed! Lots of torque + tight suspension thanks to the adjustable coilovers and low pro's = a blast in the canyons.

The best part: The owner mentioned a DINAN supercharger coming soon!

Hello TM,

It seems the owner of the DINAN 5 has been bitten by the car fanatic bug! It was great seeing the owner smile everytime we started talking about the BMW. I thought the '5' was great as is, can't image more power.....wait, yes I can!!! happy.gif Isn't a new toy always fun?
